Hello everyone,

My wife and I have been waiting since the 22nd of March, we're 7 days shy of the 5 months and I have no finger nails left, have phoned several times and the same response is "sometime this month you'll hear something". I sometimes wonder if I'm impatient but 5 month without my wife by my side and I by hers is a damned long time to have to wait, my head is so full of mixed emotions I sometimes don't function in work properly due to the stress of a possible denial... thats the pessimist inside me I guess.

I do hope they find faster ways to process the petitions, I'm sure it isn't good for peoples health being kept hanging like this.

peace & love to all... lol

Someone said USCIS is or has hired new help. Honestly I don't know how good this information is. But if indeed they hired new help, I hope USCIS would start approving much quickly. Someone also said September 30 is USCIS's last day of the fiscal year. Usually companies try to rid of as much junks from previous years as they can before the year end. I hope USCIS will want to get rid of all 2010 applications before their end. By get rid I do mean approve.

USCIS fee went up this year in July. Whenever fee goes up, there's usually a tsunami of new applications. Same has happened here I guess. Meh. I'm just postulating here.

But seriously, I hoped there would be at least one or two approvals every day out of 1.3 million applications that are in USCIS now.

[D]iscotrash, don't think I forgot what you said last week. You said there will be a lot of approval this week. There hasn't been so far. But there's still 3 days left in this week.

Everyone wants to be approved sooner than later.

I decided I'm not going to check USCIS status page anymore until the 1st of September. There's no point. It doesn't change and it only gives me ulcer.

I'm on life support and have been for a month, I tried to stay off the UCIS status site but I just can't, it is about the only thing I wake up for these days, then I go to work and I come home and the first thing I do is check it again and the real sad part about it is... the centre processing my petition is 9 hours behind me so why I check it is beyond me.

I think I have OCVSC (Obsessive compulsive visa status disorder)

I was never restless about this whole immigration process. I knew it would take a year when all is said and done. But I was going to go visit my wife by the next month. There's a bit of kink in that plan. I cannot go next month. So I'm starting to miss my wife a lot more than I thought I would by now. This is creating some anxiety which isn't help at all by the fact that VJ prediction is getting closer and closer with not a single good sign in weeks, days. Argh!

I'm just going to go ahead and admit to myself that I won't get the NOA2 in August. That way I can stop worrying. I don't even hope to be pleasantly surprised if by some dumb stroke of luck, I get approved this month.
