And does it really matter? Maybe Brad and Vika are Brad's second cousin Joe and his wife Natasha. If I put up a picture of a woman who looks Russian posing next to some dude that I claim as myself, will it satisfy you?

I used to post personal information and photos. My signature made Brad's old-school sigs look downright sparten--Slim might remember that far back, I think everyone else from that era is gone. Then I had a run-in with a very disturbed individual who did some very disturbing things. Believe me or not, I don't give two shakes. Suffice it to say that anybody wanting me to provide evidence of anything beyond what I've already posted is going to be sorely disappointed. You can take me at my word or not, I don't really care. And even though visaveteran's also demanded proof, if he doesn't want to share jack about his own relationship with faceless people on the internets then that's alright by me too.

So if you don't believe I or somebody else has a real relationship, and you don't believe I or somebody else belongs here, then take it up with Ewok or report me to a moderator or put me on ignore...or just deal with it. I have nothing to prove, and even if I did, this is the internet. Proof is easily fabricated. So why bother?

Well, she was a hooker til we got married. I'm pretty sure she's stopped though. Then again, she doesn't ask for as much money as she used to so maybe she's still... no. In all seriousness, mox has good reason to be a little more "shy" than the rest of us. He used to share more, but as said above, once stupid people did stupid things, he decided to stop sharing so much. If you're really concerned about mox and his bride, get to know him a little bit and I'm sure he'd have no problem sharing via PM.

I think it's important for everyone to remember this is the internets and even though there are real people behind these screen names and avatars, they are just random strangers that mean absolutely nothing unless you take it further. While I'm sure most of you on here could be good buddies if we actually knew each other in person (and I've met a couple VJ folks - good people and we have become buddies) I can't say that I really "care" about too many folks on here. A lot of you get really worked up over this stuff. I enjoy it and I honestly do try to help if I can, but I'll be darned if I'm going to lose any sleep over someone's post on an internet forum.

It's just the internet. Relax. Enjoy it. It's entertainment. It's not life and death. If you're really that worked up, might I suggest another great use of the internet? FREE PORN!!!! That'll calm your @$$ down!

I agree with Mox that putting out a name and a photo means squat. Anyone can fake it. I also agree that a poster can share as little or as much as he chooses. At least for now, we remain a free country.

The only issue I have is when someone like Mox or others keep their details a big secret and then stick their nose in someone's business who did share more details. You can't have a fair back and forth with that imbalance of knowledge.

I have shared quite a bit about my relationship and have been attacked for doing so. I only resent that when the attacks come from someone who keeps himself from being equally vulnerable.

But as Slim correctly points out, this is just the internet. So, ultimately, when all is said and done...who cares?

The internet is not fair. There is nothing in the TOS that says you are required to share a lot of personal information. I, for one, am not really comfortable sharing a great amount of personal details on a wide-open public forum. And Mox, for his own reasons, which I recall are very much valid, chooses not to, either. And sure, if you meet someone in real life or even develop a close internet friendship that may involve into meeting in real life, sharing personal information is fine. But to leave a track on the internet, one that you have no control over because Visajourney does not allow post editing/deletion after "x" amount of minutes--that's not appealing to everyone. Nothing ever posted on the internet goes away, ever.
