RFE for leaving Part C I-129F blank. Please HELP!

After nearly 6 months of waiting for a response to our case we received an RFE for omitting to answer Part C Q2(convicted by a court of law...) of the I-129F. ='( (Please do not ask me why I failed to answer that part, since I myself can not understand how I could have been so careless.) I nor my fiance have ever been convicted by a court of law - civil or criminal, or court martial-ed, therefore the answer to the question should be a simple "No".

The blue RFE paper that I received came with a supplement sheet to Part C Q2, which allows me to select which of the following I have been convicted of, but it does not give me the option to select "No"(meaning I have not been convicted of any of the above) as my answer to the question. Unsure of how I should handle the RFE I called the support center to see what could be done. The operator suggested that I write a letter explaining the situation, however, she herself was not sure of what I could do to correct the problem.

I was wondering if anyone else out there has encountered the same problem and what they did to correct it. I do not mind sending in a letter with the response to my RFE however, I'm not sure if it will be effective it will be or if it will help at all. I was thinking that maybe I should also send in a copy of the original sheet and select "No" as i should have done and date it with the recent date and antedate it with the date that I had originally signed the form with.

Are there any other suggestions or personal experiences similar to mine out there? Any piece of advise will be greatly appreciated. :)

I would send in the RFE, another form with NO ticked this time and write a letter of explanation.

And remember, do not leave ANYTHING blank. Put No, Unknown, None, N/A but don't leave it blank.

And make a copy of everything you send.

Thanks guys! I will definitely do that. Although I'm still debating on whether I should just send the single sheet that requires my answer or send in the entire I-129F(as my fiance had suggested) but i feel that sending the entire document may just complicate things.

Thanks again!
