I haven’t got NOA2 yet… [no further comment] but I’m trying to get all the stuff brought together so that it can go out immediately after it’s received.

The 2 things that I know of for definite are: a more recent affidavit of support & the petitioners financial information .

Is there anything else?

Also, what information is required for the financial information piece? Just a letter from the bank / place of work… and what else?

I have requested my Police certificate, long birth certificate is to be collected tomorrow & need some more passport photos. All the other stuff like phone bills, boarding passes, photos, etc are sorted so I think I’m good this end. And as I filled out all the initial forms I just have to reprint them. :)

Preperation is everything [i think]. :D

1990(-ish): Family Holiday to FL. Met Nicole & family.

Hi

To accompany the Affidavit of Support form, the USC needs to send you:

Letter from her employer stating salary and how long they have worked there

A few recent pay stubs

Tax transcripts for last 3 years (ideally 3 years to be on the safe side). Call IRS and ask for copies of the W2's (that's the transcripts).

Bank statements

The only other thing you need is updated letters of intent from both of you. That's the letters which you submitted with your original petition, where you stated your intention to get married within the 90 day period. You both just need to reprint and sign the letters and put a date near the interview date.

That's about it!

Well... i'm kinda glad i don't have to fill out the I-864. It looks tedious even though the first 14 pages are purely instructions. :)

Yeah, this financial stuff sure is a pain.

From what I've read, I don't think you need three years of certified tax transcripts at this stage (that's for AOS), but I read a thread yesterday that said you DEFINITELY need at least the most recent years taxes if you're interviewing in London. Also, I just want to make clear that W2's are the annual statements you get from your employer that list the year's pay and tax withheld; they're not actually the tax transcripts, but it might be a good idea to have them accompany the tax transcripts.

Here's what I put together last night; I'm hoping it will be enough:

- I-134 form

- supplementary letter with answers to questions that didn't fit in the blanks (e.g. employer name) and listing of financial info, and stating that co-sponsor info is included if needed (I've only been at my job since Sept, but earn enough to be "over the limit")

- two originals of employer letter

- three most recent paystubs (printed from online)

- two originals of bank letter

- three most recent monthly bank statements (printed from online)

- copy of 2009 tax return, with W2

- I-134 filled by my dad

- two original letters from my dad's employer

Good luck, and hope that the NOA2 is here soon so you can focus on this nonsense :wacko:

I-129F

6 Nov 2009: NOA1

2 March 2010: NOA2 (116 days)

14 April 2010: Interview (159 days) Approved!!

30 April 2010: Married!

AoS

18 May 2010: NOA1 for AoS, EAD and AP

8 June 2010: Case transferred to CSC

10 June 2010: Biometrics completed

31 July 2010: EAD and AP received!

9 Sept. 2010: RFE email for AoS

(RFE for medical. We replied with letter stating that it's not required since done overseas within one year)

18 January 2010: Interview - passed! Card production ordered!

Thanks megs for clarifying the tax stuff. My USC hasn't a clue about it, leaves me to do the fact finding, I wasn't sure what the difference was between a W2 and tax transcript! (who would want to if we didn't have to? LOL). OK - so a W2 is UK equivalent of a P60 by the sounds of things. I understand now.

VJ super guru member Penguin ie informed me yesterday, that bank statements are not necessarily required if petitioner's income is comfortably above that poverty line.

What is the difference between the 'I-864' (mentioned on the UK Embassy page - in the 3rd point from the bottom) & the 'I-134' (that you folks have mentioned)?

I don't want the 'good lady' to have to fill out forms needlessly. :)

No, never a good idea to have the good lady to anything needlessly!

She just needs to do the I-134. The I-846 is not required for K1 petition at this stage, but the good lady will have to do it at AOS stage.

On another subject - Have you worked out how to track when embassy gets case from NVC and sends out packet 3? If so, do spill the beans! I've just asked it on another thread as I've got confused about it and am on a tight schedule to get an interview date.

I THINK you just have to call them and see... Taken from here:

Two weeks after you receive the NOA2 you can contact the NVC to see if they have received your approved I-129F. You can contact them at 603 334-0700. Their homepage is here. Welcome to the US Department of State! Things move much faster now :).

Also, I think I know what we are to SEND in after packet three based on reading this.... http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/...processing.html

The things that actually get mailed to the embassy are these, right?

1. IV -15K (checklist)

2. DS-230-I Part 1

3. DS-156 (2 copies)(fill out online to generate barcode then print)

4. DS-156K (2 copies)

5. DS-157 (2 copies)

Does this look right to you guys??

And does anyone know where I can find the DS-157 form (or what it is for that matter!)?

And the other stuff is not to be sent but just brought in at the time of the interview...I think?

-police certificate

-birth certificate

-I-134 (affidavit of support and evidence)

-photos

Thanks do much for all the advice and information you guys have provided here on VJ, we wouldn't have gotten this far without you all!

Hey!

You got it all right.

The DS-157 is just another supplementary info about beneficiary - previous employments, list of all educational establishments, any military service.

The link to download all the forms is here

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

I just noticed your petition was sent to NVC same day as mine. I just got off phone to NVC and they informed me my case was sent to London last Wednesday 3 March, so hopefully, yours was in the same batch as mine.

I can't imagine what it must be like doing any of this without the info on VJ, and for the marvellous comradary along the way!
