2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

hmm, is that supposed to be sarcasm? It's odd that you're unable to explain to them how to update the list... Anyways, at the top right of the page, click on settings. Scroll down to post settings and make sure you (check) Enable visual (RTE) editor. Then save changes. and voila! You should now be able to update the list. Just follow the simple instructions at the bottom of every list before you update. Hope that helps.

Hi All,

I have 2 questions:

1. are the letters from friends mandatory?

2. I added my son as a dependent on the form and paid for his biometrics, but I only received the

NOA by mail. I called and they told me I should write another letter, which I did yesterday.

Has anyone else experienced this or filed for a dependent, please?

Hey lari,

When did you send in your stuff? I belive the letters are mandatory, it says to include 2 affadavits but some only sent letters (I sent 1 letter and 1 affadavit). They have cashed our cheque, but no NOA1 yet.

Did you get 1 NOA1 for yourself and not your son? I take it the letter you were requested to write was for your son? I don't know about the dependants as I don't have any to add, but I am sure others will be able to answer that question for you.

Actually affidavits from friends or family are NOT mandatory. It's optional. We didn't send one in, there's no need for it if you already have sufficient evidence.
