I haven't and I am fast approaching the 5 month mark of getting my NOA1 for the I-130 so I was wondering, hoping, praying that they "lost" my I-130 and are going to complete my I-129F first, then I'll call and harrass them about the I-130.

This scenario actually has made me think that I should come on here and ask the question - should I be calling CIS pretty soon about my I-130? It has been close to 5 months...which of course is the timeframe that CIS gives on their website for completing an I-130 application. No RFE's (yet) or anything else, just the NOA1.

OP- please fill in your timeline.

Scott- your timeline is confusing, did you really get married, file and I-130, receive an NOA1 on the I-130, and THEN file a I-129? Or it's supposed to be the timeline for the I-129, then the I-130?

I would assume this will extend your wait time a bit, wouldn't be too concerned. As long as you received the NOA1 on the I-130 everything should (eventually) sort itself out.

The timeline is correct. Not too sure what is confusing since I intended to file for the K-3 visa. The process to get one being - get married, file I-130, receive NOA1 for I-130, make copy of mentioned NOA1 and send it with I-129F packet, etc.

Oh wow - Scott your time line and mine are VERY similar. You guys even got married the same day we did! Well, same day, different year...

Have you tried contacting USCIS yet to find out where your I-130 stands? I would say it's definitely time to involve a Congressman.

I have also scheduled an Infopass appointment for Wednesday, the day our petition is 5 months, 1 day old...

OP- please fill in your timeline.

I-130 has to be filed and NOA1 received before you can file for an I-129F.
