Hello everybody, Im so hapy we got the email with the NOA2 for I130 APPROVED!!! finally after 1 year 6 months of waiting. Now we are just waiting for the mail with the printed letter and the instructions.

Im happy for this approval but i was expecting to get news for my I129F too. I was going on the K·3 because I have an 11 yo daughter i want to bring with me and thought that the K3 was easier for me and her. I also put her name in my I130 and I129F so she can get the same status im getting.

So now what should I do? I guess if they cancel my I129F I will have to file a new I130 for her? or since I mention her in my I130 it will be enough? If i file another I130 how long it will be hers to be approved?? ( i hope its not another 1.5 years of waiting)

Please any advice will be appreciate.

You immediately file an I-130 for the daughter regardless.

We have no reports of anybody trying this but if you want the K3 and K4 visas, you could try contacting NVC and requesting they keep open or reopen your I-129F case, because you want your spouse and daughter to come together, without delay. Nobody knows if this will work, so file that I-130 ASAP for your stepdaughter.

Congrats! I am not surprised it took 6 months since you filed with the Vermont Service Center. I hope everything moves smooth for you from here onwards. Since you mentioned your daughter in the I130, it should be enough. When filling out the immigrant app it will ask to name kids under 21 who will accompany you to the US.

I agree. You should file a separate I-130 for your child ASAP. (Yes, this means paying another I-130 fee.) Sometimes, this can be expedited to catch up with the spouse's I-130, so that they can both arrive together.

Here's to families being together sooner,

Congratulations. You should try out PushBrk's suggestion and I hope that works so you do not have to wait for your daugther's I-130 to be processed. If that does not work out , file I-130 immediately for your daughter without wasting any time.

The answer is in the I-130 instructions. See the step-child section.

I dont know why it took so long. first USCIS lost our I129F we sent it back like 3 times. Then it didnt touch our case for almost a year although my hubby called then a 100 times. Finally we got tired and contact the representative and they helped us. USCIS sent an apologize letter and asked for 2 RFC. We sent them and finally got our NOA2 for I130.
