I had my interview and got a problem with the I-134. The consul told me i had to resubmit because of the mistake in question number 11.. Has anyone had an experience like this? Does processing of my K-1 visa will take a lot longer? Please give some advice..

Adjustment of Status

May 4, 2010 - Date Filed I-485,I-765,I-131

May 11, 2010 - NOA for I-485,I-765,I-131 May 17, 2010 - Biometrics appointment received in the mail

May 24, 2010 - Walk-in Biometrics successful (ASC Michigan City, IN)

June 1, 2010 - Case transferred to CSC

July 14, 2010 - EAD approved, for card production

July 19, 2010 - Received AP in the mail

July 21, 2010 - I-485 GC approved, for card production

July 26, 2010 - Welcome letter received

July 28, 2010 - EAD card received

July 31, 2010 - Greencard received

Removal of Conditions

May 7, 2012 - Date Filed I-751

May 9, 2012 - Date of NOA!

June 8, 2012 - Biometrics Schedule

Yes it will take longer because you made a mistake. Make sure you get it right this time.

What is question #11?

If you intend/not intend to support the person listed.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I have read two different replies on this web-site for that. One reply said it is N/A for K-1 Visas. Another reply seemed to indicate that you will provide all necessary forms of support forever (essentailly forever).

Any ideas ?

With rare exception, either is fine. London seems to prefer a yes answer.

What is question #11?

Question number 11 is if the petitioner "intend" or "do not intend" to make specific contributions to item number 3.(which is me). My fiance put NA because according to some sources that it's not apllicable for k1.

It does not seem clear to me that the original response was(is) a mistake. It seems to be a judgment call on the part of the CO where the judgment is arbitrary.

For question 11, my wife checked "Intend" and wrote "I intend to marry him andhold property in common as husband and wife." It worked for Vancouver, Canada.

Ankara embassy accepted my I-134 without any checkmark (intend/not) with "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )" - always good to check with the embassy with what they want.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

oh no!! they didn't accept N/A for #11?? i put the same thing. does that mean i have to change it too? if u don't mind me asking. so what did ur fiance put on the second i-134 u guys are going to resubmit?

October 14, 2009: Sent I-129F via Fedex
October 19, 2009: NOA1 received
January 11, 2010: NOA2 received (email)
January 12, 2010: NOA2 received (hard copy)
January 14, 2010: NVC letter mailed
January 16, 2010: NVC letter received
February 08, 2010: Embassy Letter received
March 16, 2010: Scheduled Medical Exam (PASSED!!!)
April 19, 2010: Interview date (Received MNL-IV-22; white slip)
July 09, 2010: Submitted police clearance (Received another white slip)

August 15, 2011: Received notice of EAD card production VIA text

September 02, 2011: Applied for Social Security(Received card in mail Sept. 10)
September 16, 2011: AOS interview(passed!! YAY!!)
September 24, 2011: Received GC in the mail =)

August 16, 2013: Sent I-751 via USPS Priority Express

August 17, 2013: I-751 delivered to California Service Center via USPS Tracking

August 21, 2013: Check Cashed

August 23, 2013: Received I-751 Receipt Notice in the mail

August 28, 2013: Received Biometrics Appointment Letter in the mail

December 13, 2013: Case status update via text: Production of new card has been ordered

December 18, 2013: Green card mailed via USPS

December 21, 2013: Green Card on hand. YAY!!!
