How do they notify you of first NOA

I sent in the I-129F packet about two weeks ago, my check has been cashed but I have not received any Notice. Just wondering about how long it takes for the California office and do they notify you by email, regular mail, or do they call you with the NOA

Postal mail. If you have a cashed check and your bank has ability to give you images of checks, you can look on the back of the check and find your USCIS number and go online and check it's movement (or non-movement in USCIS system). The number starts with WAC- If you see such number on back of your check, that's it..

You should get a NOA1 anytime now. 2 weeks is later than normal but still notihng to freak over.

Ours was two weeks exactly from the date sent (VSC) to NOA1 received in the snail mail.

Alot of people have been reporting longer times lately - maybe the load has increased and they are taking a little longer.

I received mine on the 8th day, but the 7th day was a Federal Holiday and the mail didn't run.

if it makes u feel any better.. i sent in mine on Jan 22nd... They received it 25th and I could check it online with the receipt number from the back of the check.. I still haven't gotten a NOA1 and it's close to a month. Today i called the center and asked what's going on and the lady told me she will send me another copy. So you may want to wait a little more 2-3 weeks and if still no news just call them and after selecting status of your case (i believe it's option 2 in the menu) you can select to speak to a customer service rep and they will check to make sure your address is correct in their system and then reissue one.. She told me i should get the reprinted copy

in 1-2 weeks and it should not delay or effect my case in any sort of way.
