Swiss put up a decent fight against the USA. if it wasn't for Hillier,they would have been blown out!

Yup...gotta admire the Swiss team, you know. They've got a great system. Just too bad they don't have the scoring talent to be REALLY competitive they're about two or three good scorers away from being a serious contender.

Is the U.S. Game not televised? I've been searching all throughout the channels and cannot find it. :wacko:
Days Of Our Lives is on NBC, Dylan Ratigan Show is on MSNBC, and Financial News is on CNBC. This blows. :/

Afternoon mens' hockey has typically been aired on USA Network; I think it was today, too.

I only got through the first two periods before the internet streaming from the local Westwood One affiliate crapped out. Had to monitor the rest from Twitter. :-P

Whenever Canada & Russia play, my mind wanders to the 1972 Summit series. I wasn't born yet when it happened, but I've watched so much on it(not to mention relatives accounts!).

I explained it to Matthew today, that series was more than just hockey....

I DO think Canada is the favorite now though...but if Sweden beats Slovakia tonight, we've got a tough game ahead of us on Friday.

Russia just wasn't on it tonight, and their goal tending was pretty weak.

Yeah, Nabokov had a bad game. It's too bad for him, because he's really a very good goaltender. But the Russian coach should have pulled him after the first period (at least). It was VERY clear that Nabokov was simply not ON tonight. If they had started Bryzgalov in the second period, Russia might have had a chance. Those two quick goals to start the second were the real killers for Russia.
