Hello VJ Family,

My fiancee has his interview in approximately 7 days (Next week Monday February 22,2010). As each day approaches near I get more and more nervous. And by the looks of things we will be going back to the Asian CO to present our documents that she requested (She interview my fiancee on the second interview January 14,2010). So everyone pray for us.

7-23-2010 AOS package mailed priority via USPS to Chicago Lockbox (expected delivery date 7-26-2010)
7-27-2010 AOS package delivered
8-3-2010 NOA 1 AOS/EAD/AP (received hard copy NOA 1's in mailbox 8-7-2010)
8-6-2010 AOS/EAD/AP Touched
8-9-2010 AOS/EAD/AP Touched
9-15-2010 Biometrics walk-in at Alexandria,VA ASC(original appointment date 10-5-2010)

4/14/10 - Packet received at Chicago Lockbox at 9:22 AM (Day 1)

4/24/10 - Received hardcopy NOAs (Day 10)

5/14/10 - Biometrics taken. (Day 31)

5/29/10 - Interview letter received 6/30 at 10:30 (Day 46)

6/30/10 - Interview: 10:30 (Day 77) APPROVED!!!

6/30/10 - EAD received in the mail

7/19/10 - GC in hand! (Day 96) .

I am praying for you two. Be strong. You've worked hard and endured. You got him to the interview. This tough process too shall pass.

I have some idea how you feel. We are preparing for interview #2 at Lagos... very likely with the Asian lady again! I understand she is rude and seems to enjoy shaking up the applicants for some reason. Your fiance must again steel his nerves as part of the preparation. I hope for the best outcome for you and some semblance of peace of mind in the interim.

If not, please do so. Entry number 4 may give you some other ideas about what you can add to bolster your case. Just do your best and let God handle the rest. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and on 2/22.

2009-12-29 - Interview assigned: February 11, 2010!

2010-01-06 - Case forwarded to consulate.

Consulate:

2010-01-12 - Medical exam part 1 of 2 complete.

2010-01-26 - Medical exam part 2 of 2 complete. Ouchie!

2010-02-11 - Interview results: Administrative Processing 221(g) :-(

2010-04-27 - 2nd interview results: Approved :-)

2010-05-04 - Visa in hand!

Nwanyioma,

Wow, you have been going through the ringer. Perhaps the Asian CO is using her attitude to provoke any possible problems out of people, I have heard that is the goal - to cause an emotional reaction. But I could be wrong, that may be her personality. In either event, it's not about her - you can go and stand tall, you made it through 2 interviews, and me and my husband couldn't get a second interview. You earned this! Go to town sister!

Nwanyioma, i am saying hard prayer for you till the 22nd. Everyday till Monday. Lets do this together. The Asian lady is not bigger the Almighty Father. This is time you got Sis, don't even worry. You are worry free.
