Not sure which addresses to put on I-129F and G-325A

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and just starting the process of trying the get a visa for my fiance. After searching for a couple hours I could not find a case identical to ours so I am posting with the hope that someone can help.

I am a US citizen and my fiance is a Thai citizen but we are both currently living in Australia temporarily.

I understand that I can still file the I-129F in Vermont if I am living abroad but my question is

Should I list my present address in Australia or my permanent address (my parents home) on my I-129F. If I list my US address will there be a problem if I list my Australian address as my present address on the G-325A Biographic Information sheet.

Similarly, should my fiance list her present address on her G-325A as the one we share in Australia together or her address in Bangkok where she will be applying for the visa and having the interview?

In other words will a discrepancy between the address listed on the I-129F petition and the current address on the G-325A be grounds for a rejection?

Thanks.

I had this exact same issue. Put your US permanent address, and put her Thai address on the I-129F. You can put your australian address on the G-325, i don't think that matters as much. I had put my fiancee's australian address on the form, and it is a rather large hassle to change it. (and they might forward it to the australian embassy on accident) Plus our Packet 3 never even came to her address after I changed it, it ended up coming to my house yesterday in the states (she's already here)

Also, get started on your Australian police certs now, they seem to be very very slow, and the police/post office randomly go on strike and slow it down even more.

Anyway, feel free to PM me if you have any additional questions, my fiance lived in Australia for a year immediately before we had interview at BKK embassy.

Okay thanks JD63. That is helpful. It seems our cases are very similar and it is really good to see how quickly you got her visa approved from the time you sent off I-129F. I hope for the same luck. I will PM you if I have any questions along the way. Thanks again.
