See me too and that is why we are NOT brats!! I forgot your daughter is an only child too. I'm having more than one for sure. Like you said it's not so easy being the only one. As far as your cousin. Someone once told me that some kids you can spoil and they are OK, but others become rotten. I don't know , but I do know that my mom was big on telling me about other people's feelings and that while I get a lot of attention (also the only grand child one one side) it was not all about me.

Girl, in this day and age sometimes white ppeople have never been around black people an vise versa. Especially older ones.

My old boss once asked me and she was dead serious, "Do black people have to pay extra for tatoos, because it has to be darker" Girl BOOM is what I said in my mind but out loud I said, "ARE YOU SERIOUS, due white people that are extra pale pay for extra tan!!!

That type of thing doesn't offend me because everyone has to learn at some point. This one Black girl who used to be on my team would wear tracks sometimes. One day, in front of a white guy, I asked her if that was a new track. That conversation turned into one educating the guy about weaves n things.

Another time, this Chinese guy asked me something about "Do Black people..." and I told him that was an inappropriate (for work) question. He said that I'm his only Black friend so who else can he ask. I thought that was a good point, so now I know that when people ask you those types of questions, sometimes they're just trying to learn & you're the only person who can help them.

Girl and don't you know I text her asking if she was coming over (to bring me my $) and she answered...well, if you need it? UMMMMM it took all of my effort to limit my answer to YES! People!!! IF I NEED THE MONEY I LOANED TO YOU 4 MONTHS AGO?? of course she was out to dinner and then planned on going shopping....I was like OH HELL NO, take care of your bills 1st!!!

I struggled to find hubby a Valentine's gift. I was wishing he was low on cologne or he had recently mentioned something. There is not much valentine type stuff for men.

See I always thought it was just for girls too. Then I found out by accident (checking our joint account online) that he ordered me something (still don't know what). So then I thought I would feel bad not given him something back so I ran around like crazy today looking. I had thought we were just going to a comedy show and then having an extra special sexy part. All along he has told me Valentine's Day is dumb and Jamaicans don't give gifts for it. I guess he was setting me up for my surprise. Poe Thang, in the words of DW Anyways, I ended up getting him a few items for our sexy party. I have a feeling it might be a disaster, but its all I could think of.

That was very sweet and generous of hubby. I love the white and red theme to go with Valentine's Day. Like I told you on FB make sure atleast half of it ends up on the floor tonight!
