hello, I am currently trying to get my fiance a visiting visa to come the U.S. for my graduation. I was originally consdering a fiance visa but we are waiting to schedule our marriage to when both of our families will be able to attend. I am foreign myself but hold a U.S. passport.

I currently stay at my university. Is this a problem for my invitation letter? I can give them my phone number, but would I need to give a residential address? I have a friend off campus he could stay with for a few nights but is that necessary? he would be here for about one week.

Please help, I graduate this May 2010 and would love for him to be here. I have no idea how to go about this, what I need to do etc.... and I know it's a stretch. Thank you

be careful jumping ship cause I left T-mobile for boost and the service in my area was crappy....actually it was the service in general.....when people try and call me it gives them the recording "please hold while the subscriber is located" ####### is that??? so then I tried cricket and anytime I was in a "newer" construction building with steel walls (government offices, work....) no signal....so now I am with Verizon and so far so good but I went all fancy and got a touch screen and as my son says......my fingers are just to fat!!! but I am getting used to it. It all depends on the area you live for the service you get....IMO

That's true...check their coverage map on their website...they have phones that are covered by Nextel or Sprint...the Nextel phones work almost anywhere however the BB Curve is under the Sprint network so coverage is limited to a lot of the major cities. Like I said I was in love with Verizon but I cut my phone bill in half a month....the good thing is that I'm not under contract so I can always go to another carrier or return to Verizon if need be.

Welcome to the thread. Not sure of an answer to your question but nothing with this process is quick. Hopefully, someone will come along and answer your question. Best wishes!

the burden of proof for a visitors visa is really on him

he has to prove he has enough ties to return to ja after he visits you

but nothing beats a try, its highly unlikely that the k1 or cr1 would allow him to come up by may so he might as well try for the visitors visa

Mrs. Palmer congratulations on hubby's job.

Congratulations on all new marriages and approvals.

Congratulations on all AOS approvals and new journeys.

I'll be honest, the visitor visa's are very hard for Jamaicans to get these days. You pay the fee and if your denied the fee is not refunded. You can always try and see what happens.... May is right about the corner so you need t get started now if your going that route.
