I just attached my résumé. Might be a good time for him to draw one up. He's going to need it when he gets here, anyway.

I used months and years. He can just guesstimate. It's not going to affect anything.

So as long as the years are precise, the months will be okay if he just guesses? As for the whole resume thing, this is what has stopped us in the past from creating one. Very long story, lol.

All of this would be so much easier if he only had to put down 5 years, because he's held only 2 jobs since roughly 2003, and one of them has technically been the whole time. :(

Silly paperwork, haha.

You're asked to fill out the forms to the best of your knowledge. They aren't going to deny you a visa if you miss the work months by a couple of months. Just look at the larger picture here, yes they want details, but if you don't know, you don't know and a guesstimate will work just fine!

Try not to stress out over the little things or this whole process will drave you crazy! If they ened more information, they'll ask.

That was smart. Damn smart. Why didn't I think of that?

Exactly. In fact, employers aren't going to agonize over it, either. Tell him to stop procrastinating and get working on that résumé! I always find it best to keep it updated on an ongoing basis. Less painful that way.

Well, after sitting down with him on MSN and his dad on Facebook, we milled through his past taxes and vague memories and FINALLY narrowed things down to the roughest estimate based on his recollection of what the weather was like, whether he was in school or not... and sadly, what video game he was playing at the time. I guess whatever helps!!! LOL.

Thank you all for your advice!!! Time to finish this up and get to shipped off to Montreal next Friday! :)
