Should I type my I-130 in Vietnamese

I am almost done filling out my I-130 for my wife in Vietnam. Should I fill the biographical form for her in Vietnamese (e.g., address and Vietnamese's special signs)

There's a place to put her name in native characters on the G325a and a place on the I-130 to put name AND address in native characters. Do exactly as instructed. If your computer will display the characters, you can copy and paste them as needed. All other portions of the forms are in English.

The thing is that Vietnamese use Roman character. For example, Da Nang City, Vietnam would be "Đà Nẵng City, Việt Nam." This bet the question, should I use Vietnam instead of Việt Nam.

In exactly the places where it calls for native alphabet, yes but only there. Vietnamese uses some standard Roman characters and some that are not.

The G-325A does not ask really give instruction on that. Again, on the address section, it does not really ask for the address in native alphabet, but it would be difficult to locate the address without using standard Vietnamese alphabet.

You're not paying attention. There's a place on the G325a specifically to enter the name only in the native alphabet. Everything else should be in English. On the I-130 there's a specific place to enter both the name and the address in the native alphabet. Everything else should be in English.

If that's not clear, I can't help you. We deal with the same thing for Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Korean etc. Just follow the instructions I gave you to the letter. When it comes time to actually mail something to Vietnam, the Consulate will know which address to use. It will be the one in Vietnamese. That's why the I-130 has a specific place to enter it.

In any case, I read the G-325a again for the 10th time--there is no "place on the G325a specifically to enter the name only in the native alphabet." Maybe they updated the form. We used all standard english characters to fill in Doan's G325A and had no problems (name , address, etc...).

For example for the street adress we filled in 04, 7C Street, Phuoc Long Ward (we did not fill it in using Vietnamese words or any additional hyphens or "widgets".

We have the Viet Key loaded to use but did not use it on any forms - just standard "Roman" characters.

Again, not my first rodeo. I'm intimately familiar with the form. Look between the signature space and the black box at the bottom and you'll see this.

If your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet below:

Nevertheless, you are wrong. Type the name in the Vietnamese form of the alphabet where it is asked for. Do the same on the I-130 where it is asked for.

What is the purpose of asking the question if you're going to ignore the right answer? Clearly you have the ability to do as instructed.

WOW, I cannot believe you cannot let it go. It would have been helpful if you are not so cynical. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your helps but you need to lower your head a little bit. "Clearly you have the ability to do as instructed," thank for noticing it--I do!
