Solmarc, I know how it is being so incredibly impatient. :( It sucks not knowing where you're at with the case, and whether you'll be getting something or not.. just not knowing in general is stress inducing as hell. Best of luck to you both.

UK, good luck with the kiddies! There are some times when I look forward to having kids, and some times that I relay don't. I was with my Mom today at lunch and there were 4 little kids and 1 toddler standing in the queue for food and they were just loud and hyper and being kids and the toddler started crying and the Moms looked like they wanted to shoot themselves. Those are one of the times where I'm not so sure about kids, lol.

And don't worry about them moving around. I moved around the country and around the world 9 times so far, from California to New Jersey to England and so on and I turned out okay, right? :P They'll probably really appreciate it in the long run and I hope they get to keep their accents as they grow older, it'll help them gain friends/hot dates later on in life! ;) Hehehe.

We're still waiting on packet 3 too. I was viewing the few previous timelines around here and it seems the packet 3 wait can be from a few days to a month, but if he doesn't get it by Friday I'll start calling and complaining and people will feel my impatient, bridal wrath.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

I feel bad cause the one who is feeling my impatient is my Honey, i am driving him crazy, my family and of course i already am, specially after coming from my last visit before i get my visa.... i did the same too, looking at past timelines, to see how long it tAKES, so i guess you can be lucky or not receiving it... DOS already said they haven't sent it, so i guess next week we will call again.

Wow, congratulations, confusing! Does this mean you are now less confused, then? :)good.gif

solmarc, were you able to find out if DR does a packet 3?

UK, we had to shift medical dates around due to medical scheduling silliness, she would have had to travel for ~10 hours to do it, or we'll just do it together. Together it is. While we should be able to get the results on the same day, it seems it's not the case for us, next day only. No worries, just a minor annoyance in the path. :)

I think we don't have anyone still waiting on NOA2 at least, right?

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Rcvd at NVC: May 19

Sent on to Embassy: May 21 (in reality, May 24th)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Packet 4 received: June 16 (emailed appointment date June 11)

interview: July 19th (Warsaw - APPROVED!!!)

POE: July 24th :)

Igor's list says 28 January filers and 24 February filers left, but it could be that they had left the VJ forums after their NOA2 or they're not very vocal in the community.. either way, it looks like we're about all set! I hope I'm not wrong!

Oh, and Poacher, I thought you might find this entertaining: I got sexually harassed in an IKEA today. I'll tell the tale if anyone's interested. :bonk:

Come on Solmarc...you have to stay just a lickle sane ;) but I sure know what you feel like with the impatients thing...I dont do patient!!! never have and prob never will. I just want my man back and the kids settled...it just seems to be taking soooo long. Got to stay positive though,as I said in my opinion this miserable time consumming part of our relationship will make the relationship so much more stronger and meaningful to us all than any others that came together easily and take each other for granted. What we have and will have are blessings...so take a deep breath...today is a new day and one day closer to the day that you guys will be together :)

SandT...well that sucks with a ten hour trip :( ugh...that would be bad so Im glad you get to go together...that must be nice for T as well :) Yes I would dred having the poor children stuck on a coach for 10 hours...they would go insane lmao...Id follow close behind them. Hopefully they will fall asleep for a lickle bit of the journey as we leave early morning. Trying to see it as an adventure which is making them excited. Ive explained what to expect as best as possible to them....anyway I hope all goes well for you guys :)

Confusing...WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO thats the greatest news for you guys to be together and have this part of the journey over with. We all look forward to doing the same, may your future together be a long, happy and healthy one!!!

Lohninck...Thanks for the words of wisdom and incouragement for the future of the children, I do hope they keep their English accent too. Not sure about our youngest with her being so young, the eldest likes to talk in Daddys words...funny the way you guys say tomato, pasta and other various words compared to the British so our eldest says it like Daddy now but in the UK accent, sounds funny. The youngest still cant say America...its so cute Mamerico she says lmao..awwww.

Thanks guys and good luck, lets hope things keep moving and solmarc manages to gain some sanity lmao...poor girlie...hang in there...huggles

Sand T, some people get the P3 and some dont, or maybe they dont put it in the timeline, but the link you sent me is good, got a lot of the information... Thank you so much cause it is helping, at least is people dealing with the embassy in Dominican REpublic... I am falling up with this girl that has the interview tomorrow and her boyfriend cant come, she is being giving me info about procedures, i am praying for her, because she is going tomorrow alone to the interview. I didn't know a company can cancel a vacation one day before, that sucks... Thank God the people i work with are so nice, i dont think they would do something like that to me.

UK, is better for me to be crazy, lol, i am trying to think in something else, like getting my wedding dress, thinking of places, simple things like that, lol...

Confusing sooooooo happy for you, i hope we can celebrate soon, and i can see the same news over here from everybody...

First, yay, Peter got packet 3 today! He has to wait until Monday to call and book the medical because the office hours are from 10 AM-12 noon Mon-Thurs.. they're usually a lung/allergy specialist so they're very rarely open but that's okay, I'm just glad things are moving along as planned.

The IKEA story is short and simple. I was in there yesterday with my Mom since we had to drop off a friend at Newark airport anyway (I hope the next time I'm there is to pick up Peter, that would make it worth the hour long trip up to North Jersey) and we passed a couple of people. This black chick shouts at her boyfriend "WHY YOU LOOKING AT THAT WHITE CHICK'S [expletive version of] BUTT?" Her boyfriend acts all indignant and replies "COS THAT AIN'T NO WHITE CHICK BUTT!" Unfortunately this is not the first time I've had such a reaction. I would post a picture of me from the back but I don't want to get banned or anything. As crude as he was, he has a point. Ugh.

I was at the gym this morning and saw a 70 year old lady pumping iron like the best of them. If that's not enough inspiration to get back to the gym, I don't know what is.

Good luck to everyone waiting on everything! The end is near!

Oh, and Em, when I lived in England everyone always made fun of me for the way I say pasta, haha! I got used to saying tomato differently and when I'm talking with my British friends my vocabulary changes instantly, I even have a little bit of a Geordie accent when I talk to my old flatmate. When I moved back to NJ it took a while to re-learn American again.. I'm kind of bilingual, right? ;)

Great news about Peters pk3, we will have to call the DOS again to see if they have our interview date yet...see now we can start hounded someone else lol.

LMAO the old lady part made me giggle...ive never done the gym thing...Im lucky I guess as Im a size 8 uk size and happy with that, I eat what I want when I want and right now Im doing ok...I should tone my jelly belly up as I dont like that part of me...but Im to damn lazy lmao. I love the Geordie accent, my fave accent in the uk. Yes when im in the US its the simple things that I get corrected on...then when Im back in the UK I get corrected for saying US things....very confusing sometime...from shop to store...jacket potatoe to baked potatoe...and I cant say Mommy....

I say mummy...no matter how much I try I cant say mommy lol.

We have many a conversation about the different ways we say things...or what the other is actually talking about...for example...OMG its FOOOOOOTball...not soccer...its our game and we called it FOOTball....you use your FOOT to kick a BALL...lmao. I think that is prob the one thing that annoys the Brits the most about the Americans ...lol.. if your playing our game at least call it by its name instead of trying to be different and claim it...never gonna happen lol...see now ive started on the football subject lmao.

Solmarc...good idea on finding something to focus on....our babies wings arrived for the wedding the other day....sooo adorable...we are going to be adding some deep red roses and Ivy (our flower theme) to the bottom and some ribbons to the center of them... she loves them and I couldnt get her to take her peticoat off, she wants to wear it all the time....how cute are these??

So, tickets are booked. :) I can say it's an exercise in near total frustration to try to book a pair of tickets originating from different places, but at the same time, online.

Yes, I know, there's a risk but after watching airfare jump literally as I watched yet again, worrying about somehow not being able to book the return trip together, well - we will be crossing our fingers.

Realistically, we have a week after the interview before coming home, but as we need to travel to Warsaw.. I'm just not going to finish that sentence.

We're prepared, we're ready to finally come home together, so all will be well there. Or we send in the midgets. :)

We are still waiting on the official Packet 4 to arrive, before we can get her Polish Visa, although we have the appointment letter itself via email. There's an irony in there that while the US Embassy in Poland seems to be one of the low hassle, generally really decent Embassies to deal with, that the Polish Embassy she needs to get her travel Visa so we can get to the US Embassy, is much less than nice. Apparently the medical in Minsk can only be scheduled for two days of the week, so we've made some adjustments, but it's all good.

I have to wrap some work up before leaving, but then I'll be leaving to spend almost a month there with T, visiting the family and preparing for the move, then coming back somewhat leisurely, and overnighting once we're back in the states before finally coming home. We're both counting down the days now, and I got a very nice reaction when I got to tell her, 'Oh, did I forget to say I'm coming a day or two earlier than we planned?' :)

Keeping fingers crossed, and right now, the foremost thing in my mind is just making it to getting off that plane and picking T up in my arms. After that, the world can then continue on it's way again. :)

I told my mom about your situation, and she said "So she needs a visa to go the interview to get her visa? Yeah, that sounds Polish!" And oh btw, she can say that.. she's Polish..

Awwwwwwwwwww, I love those wings! That's so cute! You must be so excited. :) I forgot, do you have your wedding dress yet or are you going to order it when you get to America? I'm going in for my second fitting on the 28th, so that's why I'm working my butt off at the gym lately. I used to be a UK size 22 as of last year but now I'm down to a UK size 14/16. Still plus size but I've been working on it and Peter used to love me when I was much bigger and he still loves me now, so I know no matter what, he'll still love me. My metabolism is shot to hell. Peter can seriously eat McDonalds 3 days in a row and not gain an ounce. I look at an apple and gain 3 lbs. Been struggling with weight all my life but I'm fighting back now. I hope when we have kids they'll get his metabolism instead of mine.

It's going to be very hard to keep the weight down when all the foreigners are here from the UK and Denmark, because they all want to see all the very yummy American food we have in NJ. Going to probably wind up going out for dinner every other night while they're here for a week, so I'll have to do double time at the gym and only order salads and #######. I can splurge after though, as long as I can fit into my dress!

I tried to load pics of Matildas dress but it wont let me right now :( I have to admit that I do eat more when in the USA, Im sure I will put more weight on lol. Well done you though, thats a big drop in dress size...proud of you :)

I do have my dress, I think I link you before...anyway this is my dress http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=400

this is kens jacket http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=169 OMG he is going to look sooo hot...this is his waistcoat (vest for Americans lmao) http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=394

The boys will be in tails, simular to Kens and the girls are in dark red which kinda has a two tone effect with black...Matilda is being a flower fairy and has a basket of dark red and silver rose petals..to pathe my way to ken. We are having the children brought into the wedding ceremony, we want them up the front with us at some point, we want to acknowledge this isnt just our day of promises and a new marriage but also promises to the children and the begining of a new family. Its important to us to have them playing key parts...our eldest son is bestman, our youngest son is giving me away, our eldest daughter is my maid of honour and our youngest daughter is our flower fairy. They are all very excited.

Wow amazing work with the dress size drop!!! that is awesome...certainly well done to you again lol. I will try again later with the photos they wont load right now.
