Thanks, girls! You do have keen eyesight, there are indeed engravings on em. We decided to use the same from his parents' rings. My ring has his name, Peter, and the date, 7-24-10, and his has my name, Christina, and the date as well. His parents have been married for about 30 years, it's pretty cute and inspiring and has given us faith, too.

Best of luck with the forms, UK. Anytime I send a form out I always get nervous the minute it's in the mailbox because I start thinking I might have screwed something up.. always nervous and worrying, me. Thankfully Peter's OCD comes in handy with forms and he doesn't screw them up, but he worries, too. It's a wonder we get anything done as a couple.

lol...awww bless Peter, someone has to look after us though...Its Ken job to do the forms and that kind of stuff, he is the smart one of this partnership. He stays all calm and relaxed...I go to pieces. Should have seen me yesterday when i got the letter, OMG I was is a right frenzy lol. I so needed Ken yesterday, I just dont want to let everyone down and end up making things take longer you know? But awww well, what will be, will be I guess.

The ring idea is lovely, very sweet. I do love your ring though!! Its awesome. Im sure you guys have many, many years ahead to match Peters parents :)

*high fives Nancy* damn we are good girlie lol.

Heyas! Joey (American) and I (Canadian) are also February filers!

Good luck to everyone. We're super anxious ourselves :)

Quick question, would anyone know what forms I should begin to gather while we're waiting for the NOA's to bounce around? From what I've read so far (here and there) I'll need to have my police check and an extended birth certificate (not the typical wallet sized one). Any others I should be prepared to gather?

Thanks!!

what!!!!!!!!!!!!??? glad to hear vermont doing sunthin there, i been waitin since 2-17-10, hope i hear good newa sun time too, hey congrats guys

Woo hoo, NVC is sending the case to Copenhagen tonight! I got through after having to call 13 times, then had to wait 6 minutes on hold listening to that terrible music, and got to speak to a very nice lady named Carrie, who gave me my new case number and let me change Peter's address and even said that the case was going out tonight. No AP here, thank God! I can't believe it's finally all moving so quickly. Maybe everything feels quick after you've had to wait over 120 days for something.

Very excited, Peter just might make it here earlier than expected which would be amazing. I haven't seen him since January, the thought that I might see him in less than a month is making my heart flutter. ;)

We still don't have our hard copy of NOA2, which is a bit weird, since it usually takes 2 days at the very most for even standard mail to get from Vermont to New Jersey. If I don't have it by the time his case makes it to Copenhagen I'll just call em up.

Now, how do I do this magical tracking at DHL again? :help:

Yes it certainly does, but hey your interview date comming up  so good luck, I hope everything runs smoothly for you guys.

We cant wait to get the interview, apparently its going to take a lickle while though looking at time lines, we are poss looking about two months, so of the other couples are going to have to wait longer bless them. your really close now, so chin up....it will worth it when we are done. I think some days just feel worse than others as well. Kee smiling, you will be together soon with any luck and we can all look back and breath a sigh of relief, the mornings when we wake, laid besides our husbands/wives and think...we dont have to do that again :)

18 days after emailing Warsaw, they responded. Note these were Packet 3 questions mostly (too late, P3 already sent in), but they did give us an interview date, and said Packet 4 is on the way physically to her.

Interview date: July 19th. It seems unusually far out compared to some recent Warsaw applicants, but we do finally at least have the date, and I can book our tickets. :)

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Rcvd at NVC: May 19

Sent on to Embassy: May 21 (in reality, May 24th)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Packet 4 received: June 16 (emailed appointment date June 11)

interview: July 19th (Warsaw - APPROVED!!!)

POE: July 24th :)

Congrats doc! good.gif Are you flying out for the interview or before?

We're in a holding pattern, but after sending them packet 3 via email once, re-sizing the scanned images and sending again, then thinking we'd FAX it for good measure, we got a, well, semi automatic response. Kind of.

Meaning it should have been an auto-response immediately letting us know they received it, but we got a form letter saying it's been received and attached to our packet. So, 6 days for an auto-response. Amusingly, it was as a response to the second time we submitted, but hey, we'll take it. blush.gif

Next stop, interview date and me finally being able to jump on a plane again.

I swear, the guv'mint part of this is best described as: "Waiting on someone you don't know, to do something you're not sure what, so they can finally tell you something, sometime. Then repeat."

The fun of juggling flight dates daily has now set in. It feels like a bad juggling act, with airfare rates not being great at the moment, but wanting to be in the air within 2 weeks of knowing the interview date. If there were such a thing as trip insurance covering random acts of the government, I would already have both tickets booked. As it is, it's a strange predicament. Right now, we're stuck waiting on the interview date so I can get my butt over there. Once we have the Visa, we're going to want to come home as soon as possible, but with non-refundable tickets, and no such thing as multiple entry (only double) Visas for Belarus, the Polish Embassy seeming to on occasion be slow and difficult in issuing Visas for Belorussians, I have a feeling I'll be buying both of our tickets soon, allow some padding post interview just in case, and say a prayer to the K1 deities..or something.

No, I wish i was going to interview, I am not. I have too much going on here. I have to have a home ready to move into for her and things. We speak everyday and so we both know what to expect. I am very strong in the fact that our file is good. Just up to her now. I have carried the ball this far, time for her to run with it a while.

Doc

Poach, tried calling you last night, did you call warsaw?

I just got off of the phone with the call center. Vika's interview is on July 20th. That works for me. Now I have look into plane tickets. Who needs a "slightly used" midget and a spoiled donkey? It must be a good home. They can't live in squalor.

Doc, I was driving in heavy rain when you called. I forgot to call you back. I was busy last night.

I am going to have to step up my batting practice so I don't disappoint her when I get to Kyiv. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats with the interview dates and I hope everyone's interviews go well. I'm still trying to figure out how to work DHL's tracking. It should be headed towards Denmark, but nothing I've tried so far seems to be heading out there, unless I just suck at it.

We had to put one of our dogs down this morning. She had a fighting spirit to the end and she was still giving kisses and wagging her tail as of yesterday, but today was too much for her. She is probably going to be a goat in the next life, as for some reason she would always chew cans if she could dig them out of the trash. I know she's in a better place now.

Come on, VSC, we still got some Feb filers here in need of NOA2s.. stop paying attention to the less sexy March and April filers, you still have way better material back here!

I'm just saying. You need to send naked pictures, pole dancing, midgets, and donkeys at them. It works. I will be at Wrightsville beach for a few days.

Cum on VSC.

I'm leaving for Kyiv on July 17. I'm taking plenty of batting practice until then,

He's right, you know. The midget and pictures and dancing do help. Just gotta get dirty sometimes.

I'm still failing at this DHL business. I appreciate the help though, UK! I think I'm just mostly confused by the date thing.. that, or nothing from DHL is going to DK at all.. the first one seems more likely. If I put in the EXP 10 JUNE 2010A it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.. hellllllllp. I'm addicted to tracking packages and I've never used DHL's before. Just my worry kicking in again as always!

Oh, and thanks for the sympathy, Em. She had a great life, she lived to be 12 years old which is pretty good for a weimaraner. We have 4 dogs left, but it's not the same without the full pack. She'll be definitely, definitely missed. :(
