Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

Someday I would like my In-Laws to be able to visit us here in the US.

Please post your experiences so I can learn about the process.

1) How old are you? Are you male or female?

2) Are your parents in the US or in the Philippines? How about siblings?

3) How are you related to the relatives you want to visit in Hawaii?

4) Are you married with children?

5) What kind of business do you have?

6) Do you own real estate properties?

Not to discourage you but if your personal circumstances did not change much after your first application, you are bound to be refused again.

If an applicant is refused under Section 214(b) or any other section, s/he may reapply as soon as s/he can pay the application fee an appointment through the call center or the online appointment system. While on a second interview s/he will meet with a different officer, please be aware that s/he must still demonstrate strong ties to his/her country. In most cases, it is better to wait until his/her personal circumstances have changed significantly before reapplying. Quick re-applications based largely on the hope of finding a consul more inclined to issue may result in a second refusal.

recall what happened when you were first denied (what was the reason)

see, the main reason or denials is the inability to prove that you are going to return (have reasons to return ) to your country before your visa expires (because they are afraid of the possibility that you will overstay)

it's not just about having money and business (because these you can leave and still have access to while abroad)

it's more about having very strong relations back home (like small kids and a wife), employment where your bosses know (and therefore will attest) that you're definitely going back

also the length of your proposed stay should be believable as that of a tourist

good luck and god bless! :)

Hi...

1. Im married and I have 1 daughter, I'm 29 Yrs old.

2. My auntie is in Hawaii. She my dad's sister.

3. My business is a internet shop and copy center.

4. I own car, I have 1.2M in my account, I have $account, $2k Time deposit

I paid already my interview fee for feb23, The changes now is I travelled in HK last jan6-8 to do some shopping and Disneyland and went to giant buddha, I think it will help me re-apply To know them That the only reason I want to go US is for tourism, right?

The first question to my first refusal was:

1. Why Do you want to go to US?

2. Are U married? How many children?

3. What kind of business? How much is your monthly income?

4. What did you do in Taiwan? Are you working there?

That's It when I said I worked before in taiwan for 3years...and no more questions to follows! She gave the blue form :crying: Is it the reason why I got denied? I just worked in taiwan for 3years, legally worked, not over stayed.

When the consul ask me what I did in taiwan... Because I worked before in taiwan as production operator for 3years, my husband is working here in PI as production manager in motor works, I have a 1 child, I told the consul I want to visit my auntie at least for 2weeks only, You think the reason I got denied is having experienced as factory worker before? She never tried to see all my documents...

Your work in Taiwan is not the reason for the denial. In the eyes of the consul, you did not establish sufficient ties in the Philippines.

You did not mention real estate property like house and lot. What comes to mind is why you would spend money travelling to the US instead of putting a downpayment towards a house. I assume your daughter is very young. It is unusual for a mother to leave a young child behind if the reason for travel is leisure and not work. A quick trip to Hong Kong just before a visa interview or shortly after your denial may appear as if you are trying to convince the embassy that you can afford to travel. But the travel alone does not significantly alter your personal circumstances.

What would help is for you to own a house and lot, have a job (and still earn a side income from your business) or enrol in a college course, travel to the ASEAN region in the next year, and then apply for the visa after a year. Those are factors that could be considered as major changes in your circumstances.

At any rate, good luck on your next interview. You'll never know sometimes how your luck could turn out. Do let us know what happens though.
