One of my favourite things is going to watch hockey and listening to the national anthem. It always makes me feel so proud to be Canadian, and I can tell everyone else there is feeling the exact same way

When I was at a Vancouver Canucks at Washington Capitals game in D.C. back in October of '08, I sang the Canadian anthem. I think I might have been the only person in the stadium to do so...

My husband doesn't know the star spangled banner... how odd is that? He knows the first few lines and that's it. And he calls himself an American!

I went to a French immersion school from grades 4-6 and I remember forgetting the Canadian anthem in English completely because we'd sing it in French every morning.

I couldn't tell you the full lyrics of either national anthem actually. I don't know more then the first line in Canada's, and know more in the US one, but not all the words, or the correct order either. I also can't remember any of the Australian ones that I had to learn growning up there as a kid either. So I can totally understand your husband. It's wierd how the words of anthems never stick in my mind...
