Okay here's a question that again i otherwise found rather murky answers to on the USCIS site.

I have a visitor's VISA and I have not flown to the states since my student VISA expired. I however do have business and other things to see to in Savannah. I have received my NOA1 will this be an issue ((bring in the process for my I-30)) for travelling? My visitor's VISA gives me a stay over of 6 months but I don't know if that conflicts with and secret hidden rules of having applied for the I-30.

 I'll be somewhat peeved if it does because my husband is a bit stupid when it comes to paperwork as well as I usually fly into the states quite a bit.

I-30?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I-30?

That was a typo, I meant I-130, I applied while in the states on my student visa came back home and now need to travel again. My student visa has expired but I have a vistor's VISA. I'm just asking if that's going to be an issue or not before I book my plane tickets. I have a convention to go to March 25-27 and then a seminar at the end of April.

Since you have a valid visitors visa, you should be ok. However, as you also have an immigrant visa pending, I'd bring lots of proof that you need to return home (proof of enrollment in university, letter from employer stating when you are expected back, ongoing lease to a home etc).

as long as you have a valid visa to come over in US you are good to go but make sure that you will come back to the country where you are prior to the expiration of your visa anyways you will take your interview in Bahamas so you have to go back but sometimes it depends to immigration officer guts which means that if they feel like your will not coming back they will send you back but as Zen Den said just bring proof that you are attending the convention and proof that you will coming back ie bank accounts, business certificates, house etc. Hope you will find the officer with nice guts good luck!
