I am in Phoenix, AZ and she is in Edmonton so pretty far. Luckily, we have been good about catching airfare sales on travel websites. Still, very expensive relationship, but worth every penny :D

Wow! Talk about moving from one weather extreme to the other! She'll be used to minus-40 and will have to get used to plus-40...

"Hey There Delilah" - I still love hearing that song, even though we are much closer now.

Originally I lived in southern Oregon, so it was a 550 mile or 10 hour drive to Chilliwack, BC. We got to see each other once a month for a year. Then I moved to Washington as close to the Canadian border as I could get (north of Bellingham) and now we are just 35 miles apart!

Wife lived in Windsor, I lived within 30-40 minutes of Detroit so I usually made it over there in about an hour, including border waiting times :)

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

I don't know how many miles it is because it's impossible to drive. I live in Iqaluit, Nunavut and he's near Detroit. Thank goodness he's so far north in the States, or I'd be literally travelling across the continent!

For me I have to take a 3-hour flight to Ottawa, then I can drive or fly to Detroit. It's not cheap, either. Round trip flights from Iqaluit to Ottawa run at approximately $1300.

We grew up less than 2 hours away (I'm from SW Ontario) and I plan to move back to my hometown once the ball gets rolling on our K1.

Where abouts are you? I'll be moving to Ann Arbor.

And you're to blame

Oh it's what you do to me

I cant believe how pricey that is!

You can find a deal to go to Australia for that.

Montréal to Boston is a relatively short drive, a little over 500 km ~ as long as you do not get stuck in the traffic and that it's not a long weekend (because the wait is at the border then). There are two highways to go (89 or 91 to the 93) and the views are nice in the mountains of Vermont and NH.

Flights are horribly expensive, I've never seen it under $400, and it would save me a limited amount of time (airports are on the other side of where I live in Montreal, and in Boston... - then, time for the security checks and all). Oh, and the cheapest flights were going to Toronto first (!)

I had never heard of it before I met A, but I think it's a pre-requisite for moving to Ann Arbor.

When we met he gave me a Michigan flag and t-shirt...training me early, I guess. haha

Small world, isn't it! I really like that area of Michigan!
