It was definitely a ways for me to get from Winnipeg, MB, Canada to POrtland, OR, USA. The only flights out of Winnipeg (that go to the US) when I first started flying was either going through Chicago or MInneapolis -- the midwest! It's gotten better, where I could go through Denver (SO MUCH EASIER than Chicago).

About 800 miles due south.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

"Pending" HA!! You know you've got it! You've been on these boards and have made too many friends that have given you sound advice to be ready! Go start that engine!!....

Welllll...I'd love to think that I've got it, but I'm also aware that anything can happen in an interview. I'm certainly not treating it as a formality! Who knows? The consular officer may not like me! I'll be bringing reams of bonafide information, since it looks like my wife isn't going to be there with me...but one never knows until one's across the POE...

I went from one side of the Continent to the other

3561 miles from Sydney N.S to Spokane WA. 56 hrs. driving time. Always took me 12 to 13 hrs. by plane

I'll be bringing reams of bonafide information, since it looks like my wife isn't going to be there with me...but one never knows until one's across the POE...

Wow, is that the dilemma - you either have to bring tons of stuff to prove re-establishing domicile OR tons of stuff to prove bonafides? Yays!

Right now: same bedroom

Few weeks: 2,600 mi

:(

Well, I'd just rather be WAY overprepared than just a little UNDERprepared. I'm surely going to have far more stuff than the consular officer is going to want...but I'd prefer it that way than the alternative!

my husband didn't come with me to my interview and I don't remember if I brought any evidence of our relationship... I might have brought a few things but they never asked to see anything and they barely asked me any questions about our relationship...
