RCMP investigate hundreds of allegedly fraudulent immigration applications

The Globe and Mail reports the case centres around an address west of Toronto where large numbers of immigration applicants claimed to reside.

The address is located in a Mississauga building owned by House of Palestine Inc.

Feras Saleh, executive director of Palestine House which occupies the main floor, says the building is a commercial property and that no individuals actually live there.

He says the tenant in question has moved out and that the RCMP first came around asking questions about two years ago.

It’s not clear how many immigration applicants who claimed the building as an address gained entry into Canada.
