Dont worry! most people I know (me included) went nuts the first month we got on fb...

But after a while it stops interfering so much with your real life!

I love facebook. When I was still in Canada we used it as a great way to keep all our events in order (we were a pretty social group.. lol), and share pics from the events later... and now it's a great way to still share pics with people, and links, and stories and updates about what I'm doing, and to get the same from them. I have family and friends scattered around the world, and I can't think of a better way to keep in touch with everyone at the same time, in the same place. I agree that you have to keep the applications and groups and what not in check, and make sure that you keep yourself protected.

I never saw it posted, but did you ever get your visa in the mail? If so how long did it take it to get to you?

Hey there mstangie...

I missed this earlier... my visa arrived yesterday and it took 6 days, including 2 weekend days to get to me so... not so bad... .

Canada Post tracking is horrible though...

I think I fall within the 'normal' range of things, most people took between 5 and 7 days...

Hope that helps.

MY 20 year old Nephew's girlfriend sent me a friend request yesterday... I have never met this girl, she's 20, I have no desire to have idle chitchats with people I don't know so...

Some people might say yes, but I'll stick my opinion in here.

Heck no.

If you don't want to talk to someone, or have them snoop at your pictures, ect. Perfectly fine to ignore. If they throw a tantrum just say you never got the invite. :)

Exactly. I don't want someone whom I've never met having access to my stuff. She can look over my nephew's sh oulder if she's that interested in a perfect stranger's life. I think I'm going to be very liberal with rejections of people I don't know of don't want to have access to my stuff... why not?
