I know! and how come some december filers got their NOA2 already???? are they skipping applications or something?! i just feel it is kind of unfair. this sucks :(

I'm a september filer, NOA1 date of september 21 and I didn't recieve my NOA2 until December 4th, while everyone in my thread (all september filers) recieved their NOA2 by mid November. I know the waiting is the hardest part but after you guys receive NOA2, be prepared to have everything run really fast once your case gets to the consualte. In the meantime, click on embassy infor on the top of the page and gather and fill out ALL the paper work that your consu;late requires, probably DS 156, 157 AND 230. Best of luck and patience and faith goes a long way myy friends!

We are also from September and waited on our NOA2 for almost a 4 months. I think that we were the last approved from our group. It was hard to look how others getting their approvals, interviews and nothing for us but at the end, after 3 months of waiting we got RFE. That was literally the end...the hell...I was so upset and sad. My fiance sent the paper they asked for the same day he received the RFE and 14 days later we were approved.

Even now, I can not believe that we are approved and that we are on the next level, hope not so long like waiting for NOA2.

The only thing that all of us can do is to be patient and wait because they said 5 months and if you are inside that time you can only pray and hope. At the end, if everything is in order, you will get the approval.

And yes...we had the same feeling that it is unfair and that they are skipping us.

Hope you will soon have a good reason for celebration. :star:

If they've cashed your money order then you've got your NOA1. Your NOA1 is a Notice of Receipt. If they're cashing your money order they've obviously received it. But that's the bad part about sending a money order. If you send a check you can get a copy of the cashed version from your bank and get your case number, then log on to USCIS for updates. Then you can get your EXACT NOA1 date and not have to wait for a hard copy. This is why I advise anyone and everyone to NOT use money orders. It only adds aggravation.

Well I'll put Jan 25th as our NOA1 date, even tho we still haven't got the physical hard copy yet. I heard from others they got it much later on than expected. It's too bad my fiance don't use checks and probably thought it was easier to send with the money order. Now we'll just wait I guess, for both NOA's!

Yes indeed... For some strange reason, it looks like VSC has decided to ignore November filers. It is supposed to be a Thankgiving month!!! Hopefully and soon enough VSC will concur with me and all of us November fiers will be giving our thanks to God...

He may want to rethink that. After you're married you start you AOS process. One of the things he's going to have to do is provide proof that you and he have a real marriage. Basically, you have to show a joint life together, which would be things like joint checking, your name on the lease, utility bills, credit cards, etc. This isn't the only evidence he'd have to present but it would DEFINITELY strengthen your case.

Sorry to be a downner, but

Wow, You guys are saying and asking the same q's as many many vj's before you.

When we first joined vj we read many posts lamenting the agonizingly slow vsc. (and) Calling USCIS will probably only add to your frustration because of the lack of and/or mis- information, being given false hope that your case will adjudicate soon or sometimes dealing with a rude rep that just wants to get you off the phone asap.

It took 6 months and 5 days to get our noa2. Following the other vj timelines helped us and also got us pissed. There is no ryme or reason. It's the luck of the draw. Some get processed quickly and ahead of previous filers but most are right on track for the USCIS processing time estimates. Some wait more than a year. If your lucky, vsc will get (what they consider to be) backlogged and transfer a load of cases to csc. The 1's transferred get the noa2 quicker.

Feel sorry for those filing with vsc, as we did too. I remember the waiting is agonizing. (and) After vsc there is the next hurdle of nvc. Most our done at nvc within a couple weeks while others get delayed and stuck in AP. feeling happy?

(But) Hang in there. The time will pass albeit slowly, it will pass.

My wife arrived in sept. 09. The pain inflicted on us by vsc is all gone and forgotten. :star:

When we hit the deadline I called DOS and my senator's immigration liason. Both got info for me in a couple days. In fact, DOS put me on hold for bout 5 minutes and came back with a ,finish w/in 1 week, promise. Promise kept, 5 days later.
