"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Alla found (actually I think one of her girlfriends told her about) a site with adult toys. So she is in her office one night, studying I think, and I hear laughter and the occasional "Bozhia Moy!" and then she calls me in and shows me what she found. It was not Amazon, but some other site. We had fun with it though.

Yeah, of course.

Not to define fun (don't want to go there). :ot2: What are you all doing for Valentine's Day? Vika will no doubt see flowers, but honestly Women's Day will be a much bigger deal. Our anniversary is a week after that. I really didn't think the dates through I guess

We have our anniversary, Christmas, New Years, wife's b-day, Valentine's Day, Woman's Day, and my b-day all within a three month time period. That's a lot of steak and BJs!

Velentine's Day is the anniversary of the day we first met in person (over in Kiev).

Flowers for sure, she already has the chocolates and stuffed "Princess" pillow she wanted.

Romantic dinner of grilled salmon after the little one is put to bed.

Then double dose of Viagra and I'll probably have to call in sick the next day due to exhaustion.

We met for the first time on Christmas Day, got engaged on New Years Day, I got baptised on Valentine's Day, and then we got married a few days after that (yeah, we were on the quickie track). Her mother's birthday and her birthday follow soon after. Busy time for us too!

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

We are celebrating Sunday with going to a play (Oliver Twist). Chocolate, cards, then kinky sex. Alla is not wild about flowers, but she doesn't turn them down either, she prefers live plants. Since all the outdoor plants are now indoors for a couple more months, I am not sure where she would put another.

Our anniversary is in September (she avoids the possibility of combining presents that way) and is also the anniversary of the day we first met.

My wife is the same way...she doesn't like flowers and wants only live plants. After buying quite a few during the first few years she declared she has enough for now. She loves Christmas trees though...somehow we ended up with 2 of them this year and she still has them up only a few feet apart. Just planning to go to her favorite restaurant and buy some things she has been wanting for Valentine's.

She loves her plants but we have the same problem every fall. They all have to come inside! So our house in the winter is like a greenhouse! "Her" room, her office so to speak, is actually a glassed in sun room (heated of course)and the three walls are lined with shelves for plants all in front of the windows. That is where she studies and waters plants.

We have been looking for a couple of those small metal free standing shelves for all the plants. Wrong season I guess. All the table space near the windows is gone, and Vika complains that there aren't enough windows or light. She wanted to get rid of my big screen because she wanted the window behind it for plants  You can imagine how that conversation went.

Yes, best to get those in the fall when they are selling them on clearance at Lowe's. Alla has all this figured out. She actually is using some cheap plastic 4 tiered shelves, 3 feet wide and about 6 feet tall for the plants. They snap together and can be easily taken apart. They were about $19 each at Lowes if I recall. We take them apart in the spring ans she "gets her room back". But her room is all glass on three sides and faces south, so where else to put plants? She also uses one of the shelving units with "ventilated" shelves (wire shelves) in the utility room as a drying rack for her sweaters, lingerie and other stuff that she doesn't put in the dryer.

"Death, where is thy sting?"

I used to work with this crotchety old lady with no teeth and just ugly and fat and nasty as all getout. One day she came in asking me about the internet. "You're on the internet, aren't you?" I said yes. She asked, "If I give you one of those codes, can you get something sent to my house for me?" I said I could and went ahead and ordered her a "free sample" of the little blue pills.

She came in about a week later just happy as happy could be. "I switched his blood pressure meds with those pills you ordered me and he didn't even notice. But boy I sure did!"

Although somewhat nauseated, I was just glad I wasn't an accessory to manslaughter! "Uh.... you know you're not supposed to take those if you have high bl-"

- "SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND ORDER ME SOME MORE OF THOSE GO**AMN PILLS!"
