K-1, Vancouver Consulate, and I-134

Hello, and quick question to those who have had their K1 visa interview at the Vancouver Consulate - was the Affidavit of Support (form I-134) required as part of your interview at this embassy?

Yup you definately need the I-134 for Vancouver Consulate ...

Remember to have your fiance get it notorized ... A couple that was there the same day as I was, had not got theirs notorized ... They were lucky because the USC was there so he was able to sign it infront of the Consulate Officer ...

When I went through a year ago, Vancouver also required OF-167 Attachment (which Montreal doesn't). It should be in your packet 3 if they still require it.

Yup I agree, on June 9, 2006 they still required the OF-167 ... And it was also in my packet 3 ...

You won't find the OF-167 anywhere or atleast I wasn't able to ... It appears in your packet 3 and the USC needs to be the one who fills it out ...

To clarify further, there is an OF-167 and an OF-167 attachment (or appendix or something like that). It's the attachment you fill out (one page, basically signing that the USC will pay back any social benefits you might have to use).

The OF-167 is a many-paged form (from what I understand) and used in other situations as well.

That is correct. Everything else you bring with you at the time of your interview.

I had my interview in Vancouver in May and yes, they require I-134 and OF 167.

All that I will add is this....in all the stress of the ocassion...just know that the folks at the embassy in Vancouver are genuinely trying to help you. They know their stuff. Let you heart be calm. Try to even enjoy the experience. I had to go the I-601 route. They were kind, clear and respectful. Good Luck!!!

I had my interview back in April, I needed the I-134... and the OF-167...

They hadn't put an OF-167 in our packet so I emailed the consulate and they emailed me one back right away...

It was one sheet of paper as I remember.

I have another question regarding this topic. On the new I-134, it doesn't state that you need 3 years of tax returns. Is this still needed in Vancouver? I was going to get tax transcripts from the IRS just in case.
