NVC said my case is completed on 01/19/2010. Does any body know how long it takes to schedule an interview at chennai, india. Please share your experiences.

probably it will take 2 week to one month after cae finish.

interview date- 11/06/2009

visa approved! 11/17/2009.. pheww!!

received passport-11/20/2009

entered in US- 12/14/2009

POE- New york

welcome received- 02/01/2010

green card received- 02/08/2010

removal of condition-12/15/2011

ROC package sent to CSC- 09/21/2011

we just removed it from timline. i really don't remeber but my case finished in last week of sep 2009. as we all know mumbai embassy is preety busy thats why i got my interview date after 1 month of case compite. i really dont know howmuch busy chennai embassy is. it depend but maximum time limit for interview is 3 weeks to one month.

interview date- 11/06/2009

visa approved! 11/17/2009.. pheww!!

received passport-11/20/2009

entered in US- 12/14/2009

POE- New york

welcome received- 02/01/2010

green card received- 02/08/2010

removal of condition-12/15/2011

ROC package sent to CSC- 09/21/2011

NVC sent your file to Chennai Embassy as soon as your case was completed, so your Embassy should recieve the file 3-4 days after your case is completed. Indain Embassies schedule the interviews in the second week of every month. I think it's too late for February. But I would say you should get your interview date in March, hopefully in early march.

November 16, 2009: Sign-in Failed!!
November 16, 2009: December interviews already scheduled. Operator told me to wait for a possible January interview date. Call back in the 2nd week of December
November 30, 2009: Been trying to call NVC but line busy since late after noon. Finally, got email appointment letter from NVC with the Interview date of January 19, 2010. Yeppe Alhamdulillah>
December 24, 2009: Medical Done and report recieved the same day.
January 11, 2010: Medical submitted at VFS. They asked for: Copy of Packet 3, Appointment letter, and Passport. They told her to take a copy of I-864 and the documents submitted with it, at the time of interview with other proof of relationship documents.
January 19, 2010: VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 21, 2010: Visa recieved in mail (Package included passport with visa stamped, sealed big brown envelop to be submitted at POE immigration at the airport, and instructions to apply for SS Card)

USA
February 07, 2010: POE Chicago --> Very easy, within 45 minutes
March 02, 2010: SS Card recieved in mail. Welcome letter recieved in mail as well
March 13, 2010: GC Recieved in mail

January 29, 2015: N-400 Application submitted

Your interview date will probably be given in the second week of February for a March date.

Sometimes NVC schedules interviews for Indian consulates on the last week of the month so next week may just be your lucky week.

Does any body have any idea how to track if my case is left from NVC? I have seen some forums about using DHL tracking and I dont know how true it is. Did this (DHL tracking) thing worked for anyone

I was tracking my case to Mumbai the last few days, and i believe I saw one going to Chennai...

go to the DHL site, then "track by reference"...

type in "exp 15 jan 2010a" -- and for the dates do "jan 15 2010" to "jan 20 2010"...

and for the origin postal code -- "03801"...

mumbai was on page 2... and chennai was a little below that....

Will they also send K3 approvals to Embassy via DHL or is this only for IR1/Cr1 completed apps? NVC informed me that my K3 package was sent to Chennai embassy and I was wondering.

9/1/2009: Applied for I-130

9/14/2009: NOA1 for I-130

9/21/2009: NOA1 for I-129F (CSC)

9/25/2009: NOA1 received for I-129F (receipt of mail)

01/08/2010 : Thank you very much Jesus..... NOA 2 129F

01/08/2010 : NOA 2 I-130

01/15/2010 : Embassy gets the approval notice (Awesome..Love K3...so glad we have done K3)

01/20/2010: Embassy schedules interview for K3

02/19/2010: K3 interview over and approved.

Hi boy1980,

i went a little different route... NVC got my DS-230 and documents on Jan 8th and I sent a request to be expedited for personal reasons...

so they approved it, and now the case is complete at the NVC... and my documents are at the mumbai consulate...

but instead of the NVC scheduling an appt, the consulate will...

i hope for february! -- good luck for your spouse's (?) upcoming interview!

My case was completed on Jan 15, 2010. and received appointment letter on Jan 25, 2010 dated Jan 22,2010. rest is in the timeline. Mar2 is the interview date. I am sure since you had a complete on 1/19 you are closeby or already got the interview date. I also have the interview at chennai

Since yours and mine are the same consulate. I have few questions.

We submitted original police certificate(PC) to NVC. Now we have only copies of PC. Will NVC send the original PC to chennai consulate?

How about yours, did you send original PC to NVC?

Yes i sent original police certificate and passport office certificate to the NVC. they should send everything to the consulate and you will get everything back i think.
