We lived an hour from the embassy and it took them a while to deliver our visa too (check my timeline).

My fiancee already started crying. Just be patient, it WILL come.

Congrats on your visa!

Yes, I'm familiar with Filipino time, but this is still a US embassy... lol. Which might be worse... hmm I'll have to think about that one.

Vicky's going to do her CFO tomorrow (Th.) in case her visa would happen to arrive late on Friday, so she could still come on Saturday.

I'm beginning to adjust my expectations to next week.

based on the turn around time it took for my fiance, and since vicky had her interview 2 days after charmaine, vicky will likely get on her passport/visa on friday or saturday.

my fiance is going to take care of the CFO this monday. less than 2 weeks and she'll be here with me. ahhhh i can't wait. finally!!!

Vicky went to the embassy this morning to inquire if she could just pick it up if it's ready.

Still processing, no additional paperwork needed. Well, at least it's not AP'd for some document, I guess that's good news.

8 days and counting, it's friday it will be at least tuesday now. That will be 12 days. But it won't matter anymore, because if she can't fly out until Wednesday (which is now the BEST case scenario), she'll stay for her cousin's wedding anyway. F*#k.

See you in a few weeks hon. So much for our valentine's day wedding, that's out of the question now.

We bought a flight for Thursday Feb. 4, based on the embassy telling her there's no problem it's just processing, the upcoming wedding of her cousin, and the fact we want her to arrive near a weekend.

The flight's booked. I'm calling DOS today anyway to make sure the wheels keep turning, but we have 13 days now.

The countdown begins!! My honey is coming home!
