How much longer?

I filed our K-1 application 3 months ago. So far all I know is that it was received and that the new form about how you met your finacee was also recieved. When I go to the USCIS website, it says they are processing applications dated March 6. At this rate it will take 6-7 months just to get our of Laguna Niguel.

My $170 check has not been cashed and it seems like they just keep getting farther and farther behind in the processing of applications.

Does anyone know why its so much slower now and is there any hope?

Your timeline says you recvd your NOA1... but your check has not been cashed???

Did you receive an IMBRA RFE?

If you browse around, you will see that the CSC has made some progress but there are many who have been waiting a lot longer than you... esp those whose petitions were recalled....

If you have your NOA1 there isn't much else you can do.

Read through some of the recent posts on the board and you'll see that many people are in your same situation.

It's so much slower for many reasons, including IMBRA RFEs (the form you had to resubmit) as well as transferring of applications between service centers.

Very surprised to hear that your check hasnt been cashed especially since you say your noa1 is dated back in may. Also did you receive your IMBRA RFE?

As far as how long it takes well your guess is as good as anyones. Right now CSC is moving and approving petitions in seemingly random manner.

You need to find out why your check hasnt been cashed if you received your NOA1 that long ago. Havent heard of that happening before.

Please dont take this as rude, but noone knows. Its the question we have been pondering for many months. They finally seemed to start approving things the past couple days so maybe there is hope. There are multiple timelines going on in this site and many of us are in the same boat from march (I got reciept notification on march 29th). Be patient on the approval, they are finally beginning. For a while there was NOTHING done at CSC.

Now, for your check not being cashed. I do not know your timeline, but you said a few months. I would inquire about that. Either call the USCIS office or call a senators office like we did to see if a caseworker can at least check on your case.

If they have not cashed your check and you have not received an RFE, I would make a call to find out what is happening. Have you registered on the USCIS site so you can see status updates for your application?

Are you sure your cheque has not been cashed? That is odd, as you have received an NOA1, AND an IMBRA RFE.... it isn't like the government to lose a cheque!
