my wife has a scheduled interview date feb. 25 at 8 with us embassy in kingston. i am sooooooo nervous that i cant sleep at nights but i have the following: insurance papers (health,dental), western union receipts from 09, pics of wedding, phone logs from 08 to present, irs filings for 08. when my wife is approved under cr 1 status, what type of visa she gets. is cr1 the same as k3 visa. how long

Cr1 and K-3 are both spousal visas but that is about where the similarities end...

Any visa granted would be the one petitioned and applied for. If you only filed one petition, the I-130, then either a CR1 or IR1 visa would be granted. This is where timeline data or simply more case information in the posted question is critical to obtaining an accurate answer.

Here is a chart that compares the visas... If you are following the CR1 path, then the CR1 will be issued (which is a far superior visa to the K3)

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!
