I know that feeling...my full term appt was cancelled because of an inch of snow...the Dr's office closed!! I was able to re-book it for a couple of days later, and that was when I ended up being induced. If my appt had stayed the same, my parents would have had a couple more days to visit with her

I loved going for the ultrasounds. Getting to see her and her little heart beating was the best feeling in the world...until I actually got to see her!!

Emma is going to be 2 months already on Wed, and we have her pedi appt to get all her immunizations I am not looking forward to that, but I just keep the thought in my mind that it is for her health and it won't be long and she will soon forget it!! I would love for Simon to be there, but he can't get off of work.

Ultrasounds are so cool, love love love them.

Wow 2 months already, how time flies. I didn't like taking my kids for their needles either I just focused on all the other things the Ped would do like the weight, length and such and also made sure I had the Tylenol drops for later on. Lucky for me the kids would get more upset about getting stripped down then the actual needles. Hopefully Emma doesn't even notice the pokes.

Congratulations, Canadiandggal! When's your due date? I think it must be almost the same as what mine was--but a year later!

This is your second, right? So great for your little boy to have a brother or sister! And maybe labour will be a lot easier this time; they say it usually is!

Hey MTL, For now it IS October 10th but I am sure it will change with time. That is actually funny and so very true, what was your date again?

Yes this is my second, I have a 4 year old, he is already excited. He told my doctor yesterday that Mommy is having a baby brother (obviously he is pulling a straws lol. Yes I really hope that my labor this time around is much quicker and less painful but hey Its worth it either way.

awe!! SO cute! I am sure everything will be just fine

I wish march 1st would hurry up and get here. lol thats my first ultrasound. You know in Canada my OB would see me the minute I said I am pregnant here they wont see you till your 8 weeks. However I did see my Family doctor although he did nothing but bloodwork and told me that the OB Group I choose is the best out of the three.

Congrats Liz, its just amazing seeing the little ones on the u/s, I'm sure your blood work will come back all good.

Canadiandggal-I found it strange too when I had my first official appointment I was 12 weeks. They only saw me at what we thought was 2 weeks since I was told my tubes were blocked. I had to have an u/s right away to see if they can tell if it was ectopic or not, but we got a big surprise and it turned out i was 6 weeks 3 days. The coolest thing ever seeing this little pea size baby and watching and hearing a heart beat.

Today's appointment was nice I love hearing her heart beat. She has been moving around a lot more the past 2 weeks. I've felt her moving since about 13-14 weeks ever so lightly. I can't believe I'm actually more then halfway there. Time sure flies. My kids are being crazy trying to tell me that I'm having twins regardless of what the u/s shows. They want a boy and a girl, I think they are so used to 4 of them that they think the more the merrier.

One thing I noticed about this pregnancy its nothing like the other four. I am so bloated, still tired although not as bad, and heartburn all the time. Or maybe I just can't remember what it was like then after all its been awhile. I still love being pregnant and still amazed that I am. I can't believe I'm more then half way there. 23 weeks on Sunday

So this weekend I'm going to try and get a tour of the one Hospital. It says it has a great support team for natural child birth so its the first one I am going to check out. I've been sorta working out a birth plan, since it seems to be the norm to get IV's and epi's now days. So I have a few things to make clear in my plan. I really don't plan on showing up to the Hospital till the last sec anyways. They will pretty much only have time to catch. I figure if we know ahead of time if their are any complication I have no problems changing things up. But if this baby is anything like the others and boy I pray she is, I should have no problems with waiting till the last min.

I wasn't cut, I ripped. I had insane back labour and I did it without drugs... its probably the main reason I only have one child. They say you forget the pain, it's been 11 years and I havent forgot.

Haha I feel like I'm huge I didn't show this much at this stage with my other 4. I've only gained 7 lbs, and hopefully I don't gain too much more.

awe, You probably wont gain that much more If you have only put on 7 pounds, I will take a guess of 16 to 25 pounds total. I am hoping for a girl as well, but I do not mind another boy.

I didn't really look pregnant until about 7 months....I just looked fat....lol!! I only had a few comments on my belly and thankfully no one asked to touch it!! I only gained about 20 lbs. It pretty much came off right away, but I am still holding onto the last 5ish lbs I need to get rid of that and then get onto the extra I had before I got pregnant!!

I ate pretty much what I wanted when I was pregnant, and tried to make healthier choices, but I wasn't super strict about it. It amazes me how some women can gain 70 or more pounds in a pregnancy!
