To think, i was so worried since at 26 weeks i hadn't felt anything, and now, its like i have a drum band in my tummy LOL. Shes a strong one too. Knocking my book of my belly or her dad's hand. I think i even felt her have the hiccups for the first time now that was an odd feeling. And i'm getting used to seeing bulges in my tummy every time she kicks or punches me lol.

I love it when they get hiccups I thought it was the coolest thing. The belly moving and changing shapes was pretty cool but dang at times it could be so uncomfortable.

So since my doctor put me on medicine for my GD my numbers have improved a ton! I have realized that certain foods do trigger higher numbers in me and ironically its foods they TELL you to eat as a diabetic..go figure. Basically shredded what and whole grains seem to mess me up. in the last week i've only had 3 high numbers, and am super happy that its finally getting in check.

Tomorrow i have another checkup, i go every week now, and they will do another full fetal survey like the 20 week one. Its been awhile so i'm eager to find out how big she is etc. I've finally gotten used to saying "My daughter" instead of "the baby" lol, now i have to work on getting used to saying her name :P

I need to ask my OB if there is anything i can do about my carpal tunnel. I had it before i got pregnant but in the last couple weeks it's almost becoming unbearable. and my hands are tingly numb almost all day even with my splint on :( Most days i wake up and it takes half the day for my right hand to stop feeling numb. Thats a bad thing for someone who has to test their blood, i've inadvertently stabbed myself by accident trying to assemble my kit since i couldn't feel a damn thing :(

David says i should write all this down to tell my daughter when she's older lol.

I love it when they get hiccups I thought it was the coolest thing. The belly moving and changing shapes was pretty cool but dang at times it could be so uncomfortable.

The first time i saw a foot or hand (not sure which) try and poke out my belly i freaked lol. It was like watching a scene from Alien!! lol

So when I got to my appointment on Monday the doctor said, "oh we are going to take your cerclage out today." It hurt quite a bit and I was crying. He told me to go to L&D because he couldn't quite get it all and he wanted me to be monitored. I found out when I got to L&D that I was already dilated to 4cm and about 90% effaced. But after monitoring they said i wasn't really having contractions so I was sent home. Oh and the doctor after digging around some more (ouch!) couldn't find the rest of the stitch but he said it wouldn't effect labour.. The doctor also said the stitch was basically the only thing holding her in. So the stitch did it's job :D..

yesterday I had my growth US and the doctor said he thinks her weight is about 6lbs 6 oz. He said that it is smaller then average but it still was ok. He didn't seem too concerned. Everything else checked out great.

Glad the stitch did its job, Marilyn! I find it odd that you were already 4 cm dilated even with the stitch in. Wow. You will be seeing your daughter in no time!

Kimbear, glad you are getting your GD under control. I am scared about next week when I do my GD test. I keep throwing up after eating sugary food and I don't want to throw up the "glucola" and "fail". Ugh.

Ontarkie, hope the morning sickness subsides for you soon.

AFM, my acid reflux is kicking my butt. Even with Zantac, if I am late taking it, I throw up. If I eat too many acidy foods and it is too close to the next time I take my Zantac, I throw up. I guess this is what I get for not having morning sickness to speak off in the first trimester. Hard to believe that I am 26 weeks along today.

I haven't started to see arms and legs yet on my belly, but I sure feel my baby boys kicks. This week has been another "stretching" week with intense pain around my belly button. I know they are growing in there!

Then for your sake I am glad they put the stitch in as early as they did and am glad it did its job to keep her inside as long as possible!

Marylin, so happy that the stitched did it's thing. Ultrasound weights can be off by more then 2lbs I'm sure that is why the doctor is not worried. You should be bringing home your little girl soon how exicting.

Lilac, have you tried taking Probiotics, I can't believe how much they are helping me with heartburn and other digestive problems?

kimbear, glad things are getting a bit easier with you blood sugar. I've already had to talk to my OB about an alternative drink as the last time it made me sick for several days. I have a corn allergy and that drink is nothing but corn.

yeah I know the weight is basically just a guestimate.

I was looking online and around 6 pounds seems to be the average weight of a 37 week baby so now I am confused.. the doctor said I was smaller than average..

Maybe he's just delivered some really big babies and forgets. My second oldest was 6lbs 9 3/4 oz and he was full term he was considered average then.

not sure.. he even showed me on a graph thing where I fit in.. I think they just might have different standards at that clinic or something.. he also mentioned that my fluid level was low but still normal. On Monday my regular doctor said my fluid levels were fine..

this is the problem with seeing so many different doctors.

Oh yes I can see that as being a problem, I see the Perientologist on the 30th since i'm old haha. But I hope it will be like last time and he will do his thing and I just go back to my regular high risk OB.

With the charts they are a pain if they are using the wrong ones and some Pediatricians are bad for that too.

They tend to measure breastfed babies on the same charts as formula fed babies, and they are not equal, and sometimes scare moms to switch to formula, drives me nuts.

I see 3 different doctors at my regular clinic. And then I have seen probably 3 different doctors at the perinatologist office but I don't go there very often....

Another thing I found kind of funny yesterday was that the nurse who was weighing me and checking my blood pressure asked if I was still getting the progesterone shots and I said no. She seemed surprised and asked why. I told her they stopped them at 36 weeks and she said, "oh you are past 36 weeks?"

The doctor asked the same thing...lol Wouldn't it be in my charts how far along I am? :P

HAHAHA that is the same thing I complain about read my dang chart. I think this computer chart is making doctors lazy. I liked it better when my doctors carried the chart in with them and said lets see what has been happening with you the last time then asks if any changes. Boy I miss those doctors.

I am looking forward to finding a regular ob instead if the one at the clinic I go to. I'm high risk yet talks to me for 5 minutes a month. He also asks, "why am I seeing you?" Because I'm pregnant??? Can't wait for hubby's insurance to kick in!

Oh that really sucks. What puts you in the high risk category you might be able to find a midwife who can take care of you?
