St. Luke's 2nd day

My fiance is in Manila and she's getting ready to do her 2nd day for the exam. She's scheduled for 7:30 AM but how long approx does it take to get outta there?

The reason being is that her plane leaves at 7:45 PM...but the problem is she's from Cebu and doesn't have her NBI clearance yet. Her interview is fastly approaching on Jan 19th. She's been told she can get the NBI very quickly in Manila so I want her to go get it after the medical and then go straight to the airport. It seems that it takes 3 days to get the NBI in Cebu City. She'll be back in Cebu on Tuesday night and could get the NBI Wednesday in Cebu if she had to...but I don't know if she can get it by Friday if all possible.

Hey Sage1!

I have read from your previous posts that your fiance has the same schedule as mine, January 19. I got my NBI Clearance few months before my interview, gladly, my name is okay so I was able to get it on the same day. She can get it in Robinson's Mall, I went there at 10AM and I got it right away at 12 Noon.

Good Luck on your medical!

In my experience last year, I was told to return on the second day (Tuesday) at 7:30 a.m. I was already done with everything around 10 a.m. My original flight was scheduled on Wednesday but I flew back to Cebu on that same Tuesday after paying extra cost to PAL for changing my flight.

I hope you get things going faster.

Hakuna matata.

God bless us all.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

GuardianAngel - Yes I heard from a previous thread a couple weeks ago that you are scheduled for the 19th, that's very cool...you should meet my fiance and perhaps you can give each other support. She posts as "Jakriss" here and I already told her about this topic so she'll get back to you soon on here. She's still in Manila doing her 2nd day of her medical right now and flying back in the evening. Hope she passes!!!

Don't stress yourself too much. We (Guardianone and Guardianangel) both felt very anxious on the second day but luckily I made it. I am pretty sure she can make it too.

Keep me posted sage1!

My fiance just called and confirmed that she received her vaccinations so does that mean she passed?? She said she didn't have the results back yet but someone here said if you receive the vaccinations you've already passed it. Any confirmation on that?

Congratulations! If she has received her vaccinations, that means she wasn't sent to take the sputum test. Anyone may correct me if I'm wrong.

Interview is coming up next.

Did you guys started having a video conference for a "mock interview?"

It makes me smile remembering how it was the weekend before my interview. It was my then fiance (now husband) who insisted that we practice.

The sure part of passing is when the releasing counter keeps her passport and tells her that they (SLMCEC) will be the one to forward the results to the Embassy and all she has to do is to report on the day of the interview. Before leaving St. Luke's, she'll receive her DS-3250 and X-ray CD.

Hakuna matata.

God bless us all.

I gave my fiance a fake fraud interview and I was mean as the most unruly consulate ever. She handled it pretty well. I used some of the questions that consulates have asked in the past. Since we met on Filipina Heart, I saw one consulate that somebody reported claiming that Filipina Heart is not a dating site and rather a site to just obtain a quick visa. When the fiance being interviewed corrected the consulate he got irate and said "are you calling me a liar?". My fiance came up to a remedy to this problem. We printed out the front page of our old dating profiles and stapled them together. Our last log in was Nov 2008 so you can see clearly that we met on that site at that time with proof. She's not planning on presenting this unless it's necessary. It's also necessary if they claim we *didn't* meet on there and our relationship was set up. Proof, proof, proof.

I called her up for congrats on not getting TB. I told her not to get any infectious diseases and she listened to me and passed the medical!

She's on her way to the Robinson Mall to get her NBI. Godspeed to her. She's got only 2 1/2 hours to do it and then she's gotta head straight to the airport.
