So my I-129F has left the NVC and is on the way to the consulate in Rio.

To my understanding my bf will get packet 3 with forms to fill out.

Since its alot of forms and his english is not so great, I have decided to fill out the following forms and print them out.

DS-230

2 DS-156

DS-157

somewhere I read DS-156k

I was going to take all these forms, and bring them with me to Brazil when we attent his interview together.

My question is. I am hearing 2 different stories:

1. The following forms must me submitted to the US consulate in order to schedule the interview: DS-230 and DS-2001

( what is DS-2001 ?)

2. somewhere else I read that bring ALL these froms to the interview.

What is correct now, will they sent me a letter first with the interview date and I bring ALL these forms or do I need to sent in some of these forms in order to schedule the interview ?

Any help would greatly be appreciate it.

Also am I missing some of these forms ?

Thanks so much.

When we went in May of last year we brought all of the forms to the consulate. They scheduled the interview without us sending anything to them. The consulate's website lists everything you need for the interview. Checking the guides might be good too.

NOA 2. Really?

Thats what I thought you bring everything to the interview but on another site ( the us.gov ) site it actually had 2 different stories.

Was your interview in Rio ?

What are some of the questions they asked you durning the interview ?

Thanks so much

All of the interviews are in Rio for K1/K3

Documents for Rio:

My wife was the one interviewed. They asked her basic stuff like how we met, hobbies I had and about people in the pictures. They had background on me that wasn't in the application (I have a pilot's license); so be ready for off the wall questions. It seems like they ask some questions looking for an answer they already know. Other than that, the questions are all things someone in a real relationship would know. Where you work, what you do, things like that. The interview was in Portuguese so language isn't something to worry about either.

If you need a hotel, the Hotel Ibis Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont was good for us and it is only 0.7 km from the consulate and it is close to Santos Dumont Airport.

Good Luck.

No problem. As long as you arrive with everything they want it is pretty painless.
