the fridge at work as the freezer below and I don't like it...

I prefer the side by side fridges.... you can easily see what is in your freezer rather then having to dig through everything :P

this might seem silly to some but I just figured out how to connect our laptop to the printer attached to the desktop  I feel so proud of myself..

I had tried to figure it out months ago but I gave up...

Good morning everyone! Just got back from vacation. What a delightful time we had! Hope everyone is doing great with many immigration successes! Haven't had time to read anything, so I'd best get busy! Enjoy your day!

I find all my mugs just through Google image search.

Wow, I'm wondering if someone doesn't want me to post anymore! I upgraded to Firefox 3.6 last night and there is no curser on these posts. So when I type, I have no idea on the page where my words will be! Tried to quote your last post to respond, but can't get below your quote to post. Can anyone enlighten me?

Yay!! Not silly at all, a real accomplishment. I'm not a techie by any means, so I'd be feeling proud of me too. My problem is...I"m on wireless, and I don't have a c.d drive on my laptop, so I can't print anything off. I'd have to "hook" the printer up anyway...too much trouble. But Tim doesn't support microsoft office on his so it's hard to get anything printed off anyway... :( Oh the fun we have with technology!

Love this mug!! I want one for myself..lol

Can't wait to hear about your travels. Good to have you back Carla, you've been missed. Wish I could help you with your cursor problem too....sorry..someone here's probably a techie...

Welcome back Carla, hope it was a relaxing trip!

Hullo everyone else! =)

Edited by Varba

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Welcome back Carla!

So I've just applied for my first job down here. I don't have my EAD yet, but it's like the perfect job for me, it's like it was tailored to my skills.

Maybe I'll get an interview, blow them away and they'll wait for my EAD to have me start. That would be fantastic :)

I GOT AN OFFER FOR THE JOB!!!! Conditional on my education and fingerprints

I had to laugh about the fingerprints, thinking, if the gov't can give me a greencard, I should be a shoo in for the job

Woo hoo! Congrats Krystin!

Thanks Shaun! :D

If I were FT at my current position, this new job would be well under what I could be making, but I'm not working FT and my paychecks are never the same. This job is more than what I am currently making, but less hourly (about $7 less)

This is FT, a steady paycheck (with Direct Deposit, something which I don't have and is a pain), Great benefits, and the possibility to move up with the company.

And it's a GREAT company....it's Navy Federal Credit Union, so a good place to get my foot in the door :)

So happy right now :D

That's not the freezers fault - it's an organization thing

congrats J&K!

as for freezers..i HATE HATE HATE the side by side ones..i can't fit any bloody frozen pizzas or anything in em. i kinda like the freezer on bottoms ones..i dont go in em that often so it makes sense that my veggie drawers are higher up. less work for my back imo.
