I am Canadian and my fiance is American. We are getting married next month and apply for the I-130 visa afterwards. We have been told I am not susposed to travel to the US after the visa application has been filed. Is this true ? If I have proper supporting documents to show I am coming back to Canada to work after my visit to him, would this work ? Has anyone ever had this experience

Any help or guidance is muchly appreciately !!

The I-130 is a petition that in your case would result in the privilege of applying for a CR1 visa. There is no prohibition against entering the USA during the process but each border crossing is at the discretion of US CBP.
