Received my packet 3 today from the Montreal Consulate, and I spent probably a good 6 hours filling out the DS-230, DS-160, DS-156 and DS-156K. 4 different forms all requesting roughly the same data, in roughly the same format.. gotta love it :)

One question though, and I'm not sure if it's applicable here or in the Consulate forum, but there's a checklist I need to send back, stating I have obtained the specific document (passport, photographs, birth certificate, police certificate, etc etc) It says not to send the actual documents, just the checklist..

BUT

The DS-156K form says these same documents MUST be submitted with the DS-156K? What gives?

01/05/10: Mailed off I-129F

01/07/10: NOA1

04/13/10: NOA2 (96 Days)

04/16/10: NVC received our I-129F (Called NVC to confirm receipt and case number)

04/19/10: NVC sent our approved I-129F off to New Delhi, India

04/23/10: I-129F received by New Delhi embassy

04/27/10: Packet 3 mailed to fiancee

04/28/10: Fiancee e-mailed packet 3 to embassy

04/29/10: Embassy accepts Packet 3 by e-mail and says to contact them in 2 weeks for interview date.

06/22/10: Embassy mails Packet 4 w/ interview date

08/17/10: Interview date!!

I'll be away for a couple of weeks (maybe checking VJ, maybe not) but there's enough people here to guide you through the NVC stage (make sure you talk to a LIVE operator) and then the consulate specific advice!

WOOHOOOOOO!!!!! Finally our petition has been approved April 13 2010.... Congrats to you midge.....

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

Got an RFE today :( Don't know why yet- I can't even try to figure out what it is for. I guess in a few days I will have the letter. ERRR. My packet was front loaded and all! At least they are working!

09-21-2009 - Met for the first time

10-31-2009 - Visited for 5 days

1-21-2010 - Touched

3-09-2010 - visiting for 6 days
