Happy new year to all!

I received NOA today and tried to checked my status online.

However I got this message saying...

"Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

I assumed it is too soon to be registered on the USCIS system.

How soon I should be able to check my status after receiving NOA?

You need to wait for Biometrics Appointment letter.

Read NOA carefully

"Upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice, you can find the status of your case on-line at www.uscis.gov."

Exactly. There's no use in even trying without the ASC notice because the receipt number on your NOA won't work.

Hopefully you'll get your biometrics soon :thumbs:

Even when it's online, it's never really "updated". We received our approval notice in the mail dated December 23, and the last information date online is October 6. For what it's worth.

Remove Conditions

I think they do it randomly: some people never get any updates, some people do.

I mean they never update your case before your card is ordered. Even if your case is already approved and you received a paper mail about your approval but your card has not been ordered yet, your online case status won't show any changes.

I saw online update when I was approved before my card was ordered for my original gc though..

Me too. When I was waiting for the first greencard, I would see all updates online. But as for removing of conditions, this process is different - the only updates you can see are only about ordering the card and sending the card to you. There are no updates about RFEs, interview letters, or anything else that happens before they order the card. Probably that's related to the fact of issuing two case numbers for each case?
