I like it. I didn't like the one in the guides because it's written from the USC spouses perspective. I think yours is better because it's written from the primary applicants perspective. I think that looks better for the I-751

If I saw this before I mailed my I-751, I probably would have asked you if I could us it as a template.

When I use a cover letter, I try to keep it to a single page. Looks like this would fit page though.

Mortgage or lease agreements would be beneficial to send since it proves you have the same address. I sent that along with copies of both of our DLs which show the same address.

We sent two affidavits with our package as well since I read that in the instructions. However, this is not considered the strongest proof and many couples did not bother sending them in. I sent one from a friend and one from my mother (both USCs).

James,

you send them what you have. Don't worry about documentation you don't have.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Agreed! The list of documents look great! Although we own I was the only one listed on the deed / mortgage so we didn't send that in or try to get that changed before submitting. Our list of items are very similar James77. I also didn't bother sending in the affidavits and we got approved without a hitch. The sticky had some great info on what the reviewing officer finds useful and any financial commingling was the strongest and affidavits the weakest. It definitely made common sense. Affidavits were pretty much used for people with minimal evidence and from the list I see you have even more than what I have sent in. I have high confidence that you'll be in great shape.

Good luck!
