Happy New Year everyone !!

I have ran into a problem , and pray their is a simple solution that you guys can give me.

My husbands interview is Jan 7Th. I have sent all the documents to my husband, which he received just the other day. When going though them he notice I had not sent his police clearance from his home state Swat , but he does have his police clearance for where he is currently living in , Islamabad and has been living there for over the past 2 yrs. Do you guys think they will except a copy of his Swat clearance ? As there is no way if I snail mail it , it will arrive on time.

Thanks for your time :)

I don't understand how you have his certificate from India and he doesn't? Are you in USA? If so, you can send by FedEx it will arrive within 2-3 days for sure. First scan a copy to him immediately (so he can print it up there) then send on Saturday if possible. Even sending on Monday, he will have it by the 6th. However, often in interviews they do not ask for additional PCCs. Good luck!

Firstly his document is not from India , it's Pakistan. And yes I'm in USA. And reason I have it, cuz I had sent it to NVC. I will check out FedEx.

You mean they are not open till Jan 12th? :o I know it is expensive, but it was worth it because it was so fast.

Anyway, my suggestion is to scan a copy and have him print it out in Pakistan and bring to the interview. Take it out ONLY if it is requested. If they want the original copy, then you can mail it later.

Again, good luck for an instant approval!

Since you are going through CR-1, I assume you did send all the documents at NVC right? So NVC will forward those documents at Islamabad consulate.

What I am wondering is did you send NVC original PCC from SWAT or a photocopy of it? Do send your husband the original if you have it with you, if anything at the interview they will ask for the original and VISA will be on hold till the time he doesn't send the original.

I am not sure about Pakistan but in India consulate needs only 1 PCC and that is from the present address. I hope everything will turn out for you.

Want to add, when I said consulate in India needs only 1 PCC, I meant 1 Police PCC, they do need another one from Passport office too.

Yes I did send NVC the original, just I've heard stories where documents get lost. Inshaallah that is not the case with us !

Ya my husband already has it. That was how I had forgot to send it. I had scan it , and forgot it in the scanner , silly me. :bonk:

No , that is when it would arrive there , as I live in a small town. And the next pick up date would be Monday. Anyhow ... He does have a copy, but hopefully the Embassy has the original !

Best wishes to the both of you :)

If you're certain you sent ALL originals to NVC, you should be OK.

The backup plan is what - to have another set of originals for interview day? That is great backup plan, A-1.

Timing is sucking right now though - so scan/email to him.

If the originals are lost from NVC to USEM, then he'll get a blue slip on interview day, giving him time to provide them. I suggest that you wait for a blue slip about this, instead of rush rush rush to get that one document to him.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
