I resisted cutting the dividing pages of my petition into heart shapes and sprinkling glitter all over it.... In hindsight maybe mine might get noticed more if I did... DOH! Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20.

I like one of the previous replies... NOA1 date is for your place in line for PROCESSING not APPROVAL. Hurry up and wait with the rest of us.

Maybe I should spray my petition with some perfume, eh?

Maybe they'll follow their noses.

Are they supposed to process these based on the NOA1 receipt date? If so they are not doing it.

Congrats to everyone approved by the way. I am deeply jealous of all of you... yes.. I admit it...

I am equally jealous of people supported by the Vermont Service Center however.

I spoke to my state representative's office today and they said that the NOA1 date at this point is insignificant until the IMBRA mess is over. If you are one of the lucky ones to have your petition approved before someone else, consider yourself fortunate. The backlog is so enormous at this point I assume they are just processing the cases indiscriminately until they can get things back to "normal". LOL

Lewis, I think your state rep is a little confused - did he explain where he got this info? I just spoke with my senator's office and they confirmed that they are paying attention to NOA1 date along with RFE returned date. I took this to mean that there is some degree of first in first out in regard to RFE but they certainly can't ignore NOA1 date completely since there is a certain amount of processing that has to be done on any petition before it is ready for approval. I know we have seen a few lucky May approvals so far this week but I think for the most part we are seeing March/early April petitions being approved right now. Was he talking about VSC maybe?
