Very confused about the I-134F as a college student...

I'm new to the site and have been relying on it a lot, but I find the forums very confusing because you get answers from many different people and many different countries. I have questions about the I-134 and I'm sorry if you've heard these questions before. The search feature doesn't seem to be very good for the forums...

I'm a college student getting paid 8 bucks an hour. Some savings and some assets (a car). I don't think it will be enough so I understand that I'll need a co-sponsor. I think my dad will do it for me.

I believe he also has to fill out a I-134. Correct? Who does he fill it out for? Me or my fiance?

What should he include? (I have to be able to explain very clearly and simply to him what to do)

What forms should I include? I've been out of the country for the past two years so I don't have any tax forms. My pay stubs are small (like $300) should I include those anyway?

Sorry for these questions. I'm just confused.

Yes, your dad will fill out an I-134. He'll fill it out for your fiance. He should include his past 3 years of tax returns, letter from bank showing a stable account, pay stubs, his birth certificate, and any other documents needed to show his ability to meet minimum requirements to support your fiance.

You should include anything that shows proof of your employment, like the pay stubs, tax returns if you have them, birth certificate, and again, any documents necessary to show a stable income.

Remember that your father as co-sponsor must meet requirements that can support his household + your fiance, meaning everyone who's counted a dependent on his taxes, his wife if married, kids, etc.

He is a college student. You worked two jobs and made more than $8/hr when you went to college?

The search feature doesn't seem to be very good for the forums...

I have combed these forums many times for various information and I usually find Google to be more effective.

Just do this in the Google search box:

site:visajourney.com/forums/ searchpattern

Ex.

site:visajourney.com/forums/ "I-134"

site:visajourney.com/forums/ "co-sponsor"

etc.

These forums contains some enormously valuable information. I agree, it may take some time to plow through it all, but its worth it.
