I apologise if this has been asked before but my searching skills are lacking. My wife had biometrics done when she applied for the Adjustment of Status. Must you do another biometrics for the I-751 Removing Conditions on Residency? Thank you in advance for any help.

Yes, you need to do biometrics for ROC. If you are also planning on applying for Naturalization, then you will be requested to do biometrics once again after you file for N-400 (but this is for later).

Good luck!

Thanks for you quick reply. Wow, another $80!

It only gets pricier and pricier....

As of now:

I-751 $545 (including bio)

N-400 $675 (including bio)

I am not sure if someone fails the citizenship exam if they have to pay the entire fee again... hmmm!!!! (but this is not this thread's question)

I have always heard that biometrics data are good for 1 year only. For most people, that means redoing them for the I-751 and N400.

Not sure if this is true, because I applied for a re-entry permit 8 months after my last biometrics appointment and I still had to go for a FP.

Hmmm, too many times for biometrics if you ask me. My husband had to be fingerprinted after a 3-hour trip to Canada back in March. So in less than 2 years that was 3x.
