dec 25, 2009 marks the 3rd month of us being AP. its been a long and horrible journey so far and febuary 2010 will make it one year since we applied for my husbands visa. i keep calling at least twice a month to the US embassy. I wrote a letter telling them we could help them in their quest for our "relationship and identity issues" that they are looking for. they didnt require any more documents from us after my husband's interview. they didnt ask any odd questions.

why cant they just see that we are a normal young professional couple??? its so annoying, anyone with the some situation?

Sept 29, 2009

hey everyone my husband told me that air21 text him a tracking number yesterday. i just called the embassy and said they did not issue the visa yet but our case is in the final review since air21 text my husband with a tracking number which means the embassy has already touched base with air21 that anytime soon they will be sending out the passport with the visa. i hope she meant what she said when she said within the next couple of days, that's a guarantee.

You guys have been thru hello. Have you shown all what's happened to you guys to your senator/comgressman???

hello taj,yes I can totally feel your frustration :crying: my fiance and I have been waiting almost 2 years in the situation you describe,No matter how much proof we provide we seemed to just get ignored,we filed in 2008,she finally got her interview date for abu dhabi embassy july 6th of 2009,was given of194(blue slip)asked for more proof of relationship.unfortunatley I was not able to go with her to the interview,I don't think they let anyone else in the interview anyway but I could have helped her put things together better. We have sooooooooo many letters, emails, yahoo conversations,a good amount of pictures, reciepts for gifts, cards etc pretty much what any normal dating couple would have, well I think we made the mistake of giving them to much stuff, she took a good amount of our info in print but the rest on a cd-well of course they don't take electronic media(she did not know),so now we wait,I send at least 2 emails a month to the embassy,I've sent at least 3 priority mail document packages with printouts of all up to date daily conversations(I just sent them a packet with oct, nov, and up to dec 22 of our daily conversations, this with a letter expressing our urgency. My fiance works in a hospital, she has had to train a new person for her position that she has held for 15 years now and things are so tough for us,she can't really do anything until we get some sort of answer from the embassy, her whole life is in hold, and it'a making both of our lives miserable ,in my last letter to them I told them we will even take time away from our jobs(which is really bad for her)to come and make a special trip back to the embassy to sit down with an officer together,I just don't think they think we are for real and it really pisses me off and I've come close to losing my cool with these people a few times.See I am white american male she is persian girl,I know persian american men who have brought persian girl to the usa on a k1 and the whole thing took less than half the time our case has,the consular officer upset my fiance really bad,She seemed to want to pass moral judgment on me telling my fiance things like"why would you marry this man"?he does not have a college degree and things like that, just all sorts of little moral jabs at me trying to discourage my fiance into giving up on the whole thing-or at least that is what it seems like to me,I just don't know anymore,it seems no matter what we send them it's never good enough and they keep asking for the same stuff over and over again, what do they do?ask you for it then throw it in the trash and ask for it again?????,we have provided more than so many other people we know who have gone thru the immigration process,And now I'm thinking the worst case scenario-they say yes we would like you to come to the embassy on such and such a date,I take time away from my job to fly all the way to dubai, time+money+general frustration, only to have them say"Oh we still need more time to decide"even after we have both come together showing our intentions and commitment to one another, this whole thing is insane,it is actually putting a strain on our relationship, her family and friends were expecting her to be married a year ago,and the same goes for my family and freinds here,it's like there trying to break us up just because they think we are a fraud or somthing,I've never loved a person more than I love my wife(and yes I call her my wife even tho we are not married yet)because in our hearts we are married,we want to get on with our lives but these embassy people are just doing everything they can to make sure it never happens,I'm sorry to have been so long winded but my anger about this whole thing has overcome me in the last few months,I really feel like we are being raked over the coals,I'll shut up now

Do as I suggested and make a effort to contact one of your congressman/senators. Don't waste time emailing. Get their phone numbers.

One of them should have a immigration speciallist on their staff. They should be able to find out what's happening. Mine sure did on numerous occasions.

Aloha and Ingat

Your not a filipino citizan but are trying to get a Pakistani citizen into the US through the Philippines US embassy? Assuming he is a Pakistani citizen, should'nt you be going through the US embassy in Pakistan?
