Hi Guys.

Im new here.

I filed the I-129 f petition.

it was approved. and my fiancee got the package from the embassy.

Im concerned about the exspiration date on it,

it exspires on 01/28/10.

I see that I can send a letter to extend the I-797.

But where do I mail this letter?

I called the ucis customer service.

One person told me to mail it to the service center.

another person told me to contact the embassy.

and that I cant mail it to the service center.

Wich is correct?

I already mailed to t service center.

But I need to know if I have to mail to the embassy..

Can anyone help?

The ucis seems to be no help..

Thanks!!

Craig!

if your waiting for an interview date and your NOA2 expires, it's ok the consulate will automatically help you extended because it's their fault for being slow...

YUP - don't sweat the NOA-2 validity/expiration date.

GUZ automatically extends these - no letter required.

There's a 2 to 4 month 'dead zone' time period, that you have no control over,

from 'casefile arrive in China'

to 'casefile opened at GUZ'

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks,

I will also call the embassy and ask about it.

I belive it is a good Idea right.

Im hoping she gets her Visa before June.

My fiancee lives in Changsha.I loved it there.

Cant wait to go back to get her.

Thanks,

Craig!!

you don't have to call, it's pretty much normal to get it automatically extended because GUZ never provides a interview date before the NOA 2 expires, that is how slowly they actually work....

Call the embassy? In the past, most found it impossible to 'call the embassy'.

WOW.

Suggest you call DOS instead, get info from a human

Seriously, call DOS Hotline, get a human, inquire status on the petition. They have current info, at this stage.

Good Luck !

#######, ya, once the casefile is at GUZ, DOS hotline can tell you all updated status on the casefile. (Get a Human)

Just to be clear, you do not need to submit a request for extension - it is done automagically by the IV Unit at GUZ.
