a police clearance certificate is generated on/for the beneficiary, not the petitioner, and is submitted with the DS-230 during NVC processing.

IS NOT NEEDED for initial I-130 submittal.

I suggest you get that PCC when the NOA-2 is generated.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

on a different note..

if you are still in China, and not married, then an I-130 is useless - you must be married.

IF you reside in the USA, legally, and will marry and adjust status IN THE USA..

then you need to file I-130 and I-485 concurrently.. see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2 treat each set as 'seperate' when making evidence. you might be making copies of stuff, and thats ok.

If you are living in the USA, you don't need to get one FROM the USA.

YOU WILL NEED documents from China, though - and any family member in yer hukuo book can go to the big PSB office, get for you, send to you in USA.
