Applying for K1 - Will B1/B2 Visa be Revoked?

Hi all,

I'm applying for a K1 Visa to take my Chinese Fiance to the US to get married. We are currently together in Beijing and she currently has a one-year, multiple entry B1 or B2 visa (I need to double check which one). Will this be revoked when I apply for the K1 visa? Will she be given a hard time entering the country while the K1 Visa is being processed if she needs to travel to the US? (She often has conferences/business trips in the states that she needs to attend)

Any advice you can offer is much appreciated!

Entrance into the United States, even with a valid visa such as a B1 or B2, is never guarenteed. With a pending K1 application I suggest she bring strong ties to China to show that she intends to return

Good luck

Ditto. It won't be revoked but she still may not be able to gain entry to the US. If she did try and was denied entry, it will not have any effect on the K-1 petition.

Thanks canadian_wife and baron555, good to know that at least the visa won't be revoked.

What kind of supporting material could she take with her to show that she has strong enough ties to China? Her mother/father live here, she is working here, all her accounts are here as well. Would she need to own property here in order to instill more confidence? Seems like nothing would be 100% convincing when the K1 shows intent to immigrate...
