I caught an annoying week-long cold from my flight to NY and back. I still have a slight cough, but the past two nights Katya has given me a homemade remedy of honey massaged into my back and chest, but not over the heart; and a small glass of brandy. The brandy was nice, the sticky honey followed by a warm sweater to sleep in was a tad uncomfortable. But either due to the miracle of home remedies; or the possibility the cold ran it's course; I feel better.

It's interesting to me, in theory, but I'm not going to practice it. I can't believe some of the crazy shenanigans they come up with, but it's still interesting to hear them!

My wife was amazed when I recently kicked a cold by doing nothing more than laying on the couch and watching TV for two straight days. "You event not take meditsin or nosing. Only just lay down and do nothing and be lazy. How it's possible, blat?"

I occasionally get a case of the hives. It had been quite a long awhile but then I got a regular flu shot and later on I started getting the hives almost daily. They'd break out and last maybe a hour or so and disappear. I can't be sure what caused it but I do wonder about the flu shot. Or it could be just nerves...just not sure of the cause and effect.

My wife hasn't tried any weird medicine on me but she does swear by her Russian meds. One for stomach issues. One for headaches. And so forth. One things is true, Russian over the counter pain meds are strong, some containing codeine and other drugs that would require a prescription here in the USA. My wife also swears by vitamin injections versus pills like the B series. Anyone have experience with vitamins injections?
